  • How can the republican candidate say he will "name and shame" earmarkers?

when the worst offender in the history of earmarks is Palin. She sought out and obained millions of dollars in Congressional earmarks for her town of 8000 when she was mayor, and as governor of Alaska has obtained more money in earmarks per citizen than any other state.

  • Do as I say, not as I do?

Earlier today, the sitting US President gave an address regarding the Russia-Georgia situation, in which he stated the following:

"Bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century. Only Russia can decide whether it will now put itself back on the path of responsible nations or continue to pursue a policy that promises only confrontation and isolation."

So, does he think the US has a monopoly on bullying and intimidating other nations as its chief method of conducting foreign policy?

  • Do you agree with comedian Christian Finnigan re McC?

Supporters have likened King W to Batman, and his boss Cheney to Darth Vader.

When asked what superhero the current republican candidate most closely resembles, comedian Christian Finnigan aptly chose Howard the Duck.

  • Who is covering up all of these truck convoy attacks in the US?

Fox Noise's Brian Kilmeade stated on the air that the number of bomb and mortar attacks on truck convoys in Iraq have now been reduced to so few, that there are now no more than occur in the United States. Well, there have been 93 such bomb and mortal attacks on truck convoys in Iraq this year. Why haven't the media reported on the 93 such attacks that must have occurred right here in the US?

  • Should McCain fire former porn investor and producer Phill Gramm?

Should McCain fire his top economic advisor who is now known to have invested in and been both Producer and Executive Producer of porn movies?

It has now been revealed that Phill Gramm, John McCain's top economic advisor, and co-chairman of his presidential campaign, who was recently in the news for, among other things, calling Americans who have lost their homes "whiners", has not only invested in the production of pornographic movies, but was listed as Executive Producer for the film "White House Madness" and as Producer of the film "Truck Stop Women".

Personally, I believe these are the most decent acts that ideologue and former Senator Gramm has ever done, certainly more credible then his later funding cuts and bashing of the NEA because they did not follow the same moral conscience as he.

  • What about a bi-partisan cabinet?

George W Bush appointed 47 people to Cabinet and Cabinet-level positions during his presidency. They included 46 Republicans and only 1 Democrat, his first Secretary of Transportation, Norman Mineta. Should President Obama appoint any Republicans to these positions? Would it be the right thing to do to help his presidency achieve the goals of 1) healing long-festering wounds caused by W's extreme partianship and 2) to help solve the massive problems now facing United States citizens?

  • Why does the media give John McCain a pass on the pathetic, disgraceful things that he says and does?

    This week alone:

He called the Social Security system a disgrace - not that there were current funding problems that were disgraceful, but rather that the system's historic method for funding was a disgrace.

He told an interviewer in Pittsburgh that when a POW and questioned by interrogators as to his combat superiors, he recited the Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive line. In every other recitation of this story and in his book, it was the Green Bay Packers' defensive line. This is an important issue, as in his book, he used that as an example of why torture does not result in factual information, a position he reversed earlier this year, in giving support to the Bush administration's pervasive use of torture.

He continued to support his advisor and campaign co-chair Phill Gramm after Gramm called Americans whiners for complaining about losing their homes and the price of gas, and further said there was only a "mental" recession that was all in their heads.
