Im a single mum living abroad with my 12-year old daughter,lately she seems a bit outta control,she has these bad tempers<banging doors/walls,bad mouth/screaming and kinda just ignoring everything I say,advice or whatever it never is good enough,we seem hardly to be able to communicate except for blaming eachother...and she is only interested in TV/ dvd and music;I quess pre-teenager stuff but what really did it was some phone-bill telling me to pay like 1000 dollar in web-costs being used by her cell-phone,ofcourse I let her explain but at first she denied it and lied about it but phone-statements dont lie I quess.Since then I took her phone so she cant do any more harm and Im not letting her watch her favorite shows on tv but she aint showing a lot of remorse while Im working hard to support us...what would be other options/the best way to go about it.I ve always tried to be a good mum,giving her freedom,responsibilities and treating her with love,respect and care so did I do anything wrong here,I mean I could do with some really useful advice of others mothers .Thanks

I explained about its not good for young kids to shave,she is 11 and very sensitive about hairs on her legs and underarm,I mean it wasnt so much but compare to kids in class,she found them a major issue....we asked advise at skin-clinics about laser /waxing but you have to be atleast 13 and again I told her meanwhile it aint wise to use any kinda razor because hairs will grow back sooner,thicker and more black so why do it???and yet she took one of mine and did it.I know i should have not kept them in bathroom-drawer but I thought i could trust her. she never told me but i found out anyway...Now damage has been done,whatelse to do or NOT do....any kids outthere who done same thing......or mums who tackled this problem before....tell me please

Anybody there who has done this esthetic dentistry, quick laser teeth whitening.How safe is it,can it cause any harm and does it increase cavities???Its kinda new here in Japan but can I trust it?tell me about your experiences in usa or europe,if possible

Why Jap Fam Court didnt grant my foreign ladyfriend her son.Son lives with also foreign dad.Their son was born in Japan.Both refuse the son a passport fear the other will escape...now the dad wants to remarry a non japanese and want to take the son out of Japan. he doesnt want the mom to follow them around.As the dad was granted the son she is so afraid of losing her son.Ofcourse my ladyfriend tried any legal step in the book to have her son but failed.Can this only happen in Japan? Any foreigner familiar with Japanese FamilyLaw or experienced similar wrongdoing in Japan please your detailed advice.

I live in tokyo and a 7-storey apartment-complex just across will be demolished from feb1 till Oct.,I just got some letter...ANYWAY reason is asbestos,level 2 and 3,they say its not airborne-asbestos?must be removed.As my family,I have kid of 9 and a dog ,wont know what to do and are so worried about our health-risks..does anybody have experienced same thing?WHAT kinda measures can we or should we take ourselves to prevent any risk and what are our rights and when do you know things have gone wrong in case of asbestos???Any good advice please

My daughter is mixed,half-japanese/half-DUTCH ,9 and born outa wedlock in Japan where we still live.We been in Fam.court twice and he stated he doesnt wanna see his child,she is nothing special...and he doesnt want any contact.I know he was almost bankrupt etc.and he is paying only around 60 Euro for childsupport but why doesnt he wanna see her,loving your child hasnt got anything to do with it,right.I think if he would know her he would care if you know what I mean,what can I DO? My dad died when I was 7 so i believe a kid needs a dad in life...No im not talking about finding a stepdaddy as Im not in a relationship right now.Especially I WOULD be interested in what other dads have to say or just their opinons also deadbeat daddies what is it with you.....what do I need to do

We know eachother for 10 yrs and have been seeing eachother a couple of times a year in a foreign country where he is a famous kickboxer and i a succesful business woman.

We liked eachother a lot but we agreeded not to have sex as that just wasnt an issue.But as the heat got out of control we had sex in his hotelroom 2x,ratherbad so spec he felt very uncomfortable .At first talking seemed to ease things but lately i just cant reach him , he even stopped replying to my mails where i ask him how he feels ,i start to believe he is a stranger but i still love him like a friend, what do I SAY to make him feel better as i dont want to make it worse?

BEING a foreigner with kid living in TOKYO in a private apartment I need sponsor but from next year my japanese sponsor will quit and my housingcontract will expire,I do wanna continue living there and i have always paid my rent for 7 years.Can I be kicked out of apartment by landlord if i wont be able to find sponsor.IAM a single mum and dont have much friends.I know there are agencies who can sponsor me for money but I cant afford such treatment.In tokyo anyway its hard to find suitable affordable housing being a foreigner with a kid.I live in minato-ku as my child is attending public school and cityhall is providing some financial aid so definitely I wanna stay in this area and in this apartment.What are my rights?
