  • 1990 5.0 Mustang, What would cause "double sparking"?

I'm not too sure of the correct term for it, but it's been idling really rough once at operating temperature, and recently started "hesitating" or "jerking" under acceleration. Sounded to me like a for sure misfire or even an ignition timing problem (although it doesn't lack power or bog down, or ping). So I hooked up a timing light and noticed that about 3 out of the 8 cylinders seem to be sparking more than they need to be, about twice as often as the others.

The cap, rotor, wires, coil and plugs are relatively new... but I still can't see how any of those would cause this problem.

  • Weight gaining tips for a slim guy?

Bit about me to begin with: 20 years old, 160lbs, 5'10, slim/athletic build, not scrawny

Started a work out routine about 4 months ago (weight was 155lbs then), since then I've gained about 5-7lbs, most of which was in the first 2 months.

I'm a little disappointed with the results I've seen, however I know for some thinner guys with a high metabolism (like me) that gaining muscle mass can be tough. I've done quite a bit of reading and talking to more experienced gym-goers to try and see more weight gain, as I haven't seen any mass increases in 1-2 months.

I'm getting stronger, feeling better, but my whole goal of starting a gym routine was to pack on some weight (I would like to see 180lbs over the next 6 months).

I'm eating about 2000-2500 calories a day (including a weight gaining shake called "mutant mass", which was refered to me by a personal trainer), my workout consists 90% of compound exercises and 10% isolation on average (bench press, military press, chin ups, lat pulls, dips, squats, some deadlifts...etc), I work out legs one day, upper body the next day, and have 1-2 full rest days per week, I don't do a lot of cardio aside from a warm up, and I am increasing the weight where I can...

I feel I have a pretty good routine and should be seeing better results. Any tips are appreciated
