I'm a very happy girl living a very peaceful life :) I love to read, write, sing, draw, dance, and cook, as well as hang out with my friends and my sister. I'm a huge nerd--Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Narnia, His Dark Materials...don't get me started. I'll never stop talking :D I'm openly a lesbian; I've been out for...oh, 5 years now, and I have no issues talking about it. And I'll answer just about anything honestly and openly :) Anything else you need to know, just ask!

  • What's owning a rabbit like?

I've really wanted a bunny for a long time now, and I've got enough saved up now to get all the equipment and such. But I'm wondering about the smell of the litter/bedding and such, how much the tend to chew furniture, etc. Anybody willing to give me honest answers? All I'm finding on other websites is that it's all worth it because they're so cute and lovable!

  • How do you tell a parent...(difficult situation)?

A little background here: My parents are divorced, my mom lives two hours away from where me, my father, and my sister live. I am 18, and my sister is 15.

Now, since late this past summer my sister has really been a bit out of control. She was forced to move from up with my mom to down here with my dad and me because of her bad choices (drinking, sneaking out, a pregnancy scare). And for a while it seemed to be getting better.

But lately she's been a it again--she's drinking all the time, staying out past curfew, sleeping around, etc. She brags about it to my mom, who doesn't really know what to do, and she brags about it to me, but my dad knows nothing about it. And my parents don't talk since their divorce, so if my mom tried telling my dad, he'd get defensive thinking she was bashing his parenting skills.

So, after all that, my question is: What is the best way to bring this all up with my father and let him know what's REALLY going on without making my house a total war zone?

  • Thoughts on the Kinsey Scale?

A score of 1 on the Kinsey scale would put you as exclusively heterosexual, and a score of 6 would put you at 100% homosexual.

Do you guys think this scale is applicable to today's society?

  • What are some major stress relievers?

I'm getting very frustrated with school, work, my friends, etc, and was wondering what a few things were that I could do to relax each day. Any suggestions would be great :)

  • Side effects of birth control pills?

My sister is thinking of going on them but doesn't want to gain weight. How often does that happen, and are there other side effects?

  • Here's an odd question for you guys...?

My sister's boyfriend thinks he might have an STD because his testicles hurt.

But he also thinks it may be from a hangover or smoking too much pot.

I know -nothing- about testicle pain, obviously, so...

    Any suggestions or thoughts?

  • How do I burn calories...?

Just doing everyday activities? I'm already jumping rope twice a day and doing push-ups/crunches, but what can I do throughout the day that would just give me an extra little boost?

  • Safe sex as a lesbian?

I know that heterosexual couples use condoms and birth control (or should at least :P) and male homosexual couples use condoms as well. Is there any similar protection for lesbian couples? I know pregnancy isn't an issue, but what about STDs?

Also, please don't call me stupid for asking :P I'm really very curious.

  • How do I make my sister happy?

She's so upset about this boyfriend of hers, but she's only 15. He's making outrageous demands, like that she sneak out of the house to drive to his place in the middle of the night, that she risk getting in trouble with the police and with our father, and yet he's not making any kind of effort.

She's been begging me to drive her over there, but I won't give in. This guy is scum, but she won't listen to me. I know it's because she thinks she's in love with him, but she just doesn't understand that he's not worth it.

How on earth can I make her see that, and make her happy?

  • Authors like Lynn Viehl?

I'm really getting into the Darkyn series, and was wondering if there are any other series similar? I've read Jaquelyn Frank's "Nightwalker" series as well :)

Supernatural romance is what I'm looking for, I guess :) But it doesn't have to be adult books, teen series are ok too

  • What's the most controversial position you've been in?

Like, what's the toughest situation you've had to handle as a gay/lesbian/bi/trans/etc?

Coming out, dealing with prejudice, etc. I'd love to hear some stories :D

  • What is the best anti-virus program?

I have a Dell, Windows XP, and I know next to nothing about computers, aside from how to use programs on them. Don't give me technical answers or anything or I will be LOST.

I just know I need a new anti-virus program, and I'm wondering which I should buy.

  • How did you come out?

I'm just curious, I love to hear other people's stories. Mine is rather boring; I managed to accidentally come out by letting it slip that one of my female friends was actually my ex-girlfriend. My friends all knew months before my parents did, but I didn't come out until my freshman year in highschool, even though I'd known since 5th grade.

    Anyway...share your stories? :)

  • How well do long-distance relationships tend to work out?

She lives in Canada, and I live here in the US (Iowa, yippy). We've known each other for four years now, and we talk for hours every night. She knows me better than anyone, and I know her inside and out.

But the thing is, we've never met.

I love her, she means the world to me. But I'm not sure how to bring this up, or how well things would go for us if we did give it a try. I've never tried a long-distance relationship before. Any tips?

(Btw, the gender thing is SO not an issue here :P)

  • Why do girls over analyze everything?

Like, every detail about a guy's actions, how he talks to her, how he talks to other girls, agonizing over "does he like me or not?" and ripping themselves apart?

I've been noticing it more lately, and it frustrates me so much. Why can't girls just accept that a guy may not like her and move on?
