I don't wear makeup, are piercings a good idea for me?
I'm considering getting face piercings.
I'm not sure if lip or nose or eyebrows or any combination of those.
However, almost all the girls I see and know who have any piercings wear makeup and I'm not sure if I should get one if I don't when I haven't seen a girl without makeup pull it off so far...
1 AnswerOther - Beauty & Style6 years agoWhen transferring, do all classes matter?
Hi, I'm planning on transferring from a community college to a cal state or university.
I heard that you can only choose a certain number of units to show them or something like that.
Does that mean that if I have a few below C grade classes, I can choose for them not to see it or for it not to be one of the chosen classes to be counted as GEDs or something?
I'm really confused and I guess my real question is whether or not all my classes will be counted for or against me. (I have a few below B grade classes and not all of my semesters are full-time).
I just hope I'll still have a good chance of transferring.
1 AnswerOther - Education6 years agoCrying over old friends?
I'm 20 going on 21, and I've lost many friends (not anything traumatic) because of different schools and the normal just not hanging out or talking anymore for no reason.
I've been missing 4 of my past friends the most as of now. I probably haven't seen any of them in almost 4 years. I sometimes talk to them through Facebook but we never meet up. I am also very scared of hanging out with any of my old friends because of paranoia of my other friends talking badly about me to them. I have a hard time talking to certain people one on one face to face which is a big part of why i didnt keep in touch or gain proper friendships.
However two of them i have known since elementary school.
Is it pathetic of me to cry over missing them and not actually try to do anything but talk? Or is crying about things like this normal? Is there any advice you can give me for keeping new friends or reconnected with these old ones?
Please no rude comments.
2 AnswersFriends7 years agoMakeup advice?
I'll be cosplaying a character that has clown makeup (face completely covered in white makeup and other stuff that isnt relevant to this question) but I have kind of dark skin that sometimes is hard for me to cover up in my white makeup.
Is there anything that I can do to make it easier to hide my dark skin?
Like, would applying BB cream that is a lighter skin tone than mine help? Etc etc.
Any advice would be great
2 AnswersMakeup7 years agoChest pains?
Hi, I've been having chest pains.
For the past three weeks I've been having occasional (not every day) chest pains that probably last around 1-5mins? I don't really check the time and sometimes it happens twice in a day.
I can't really put a finger on how many days are inbetween the pains but I think the shortest would be 3 days?
I'm underweight by at least 17lbs, I don't eat very healthy but I've been putting vegetables and fruits into my diet starting last month, I've also started to exercise at the same time of my new diet (twice a week but I never get chest pains during the work out, not even before or after), I'm pretty sure the pain isn't from breast growth since it doesn't seem to be the same type of pain.
Any advice or ideas to why I might be having these pains?
2 AnswersWomen's Health7 years agoTips for someone with low self-esteem with singing?
When I was younger my dad would always tell me I was a good singer, probably in hopes of helping my self-esteem, however, I got a big head and started to act like I was really good.
I was made fun of a lot because of that and I can't and haven't sung seriously since elementary school.
By seriously I mean I only sing in weird voices, horribly on purpose, or serious but extremely quiet.
Every time I try singing seriously (when alone) I always have a hard time keeping any tone or staying as loud as I should.
Is there anyway I can get past this?
PS, I'm planning on taking a course in my college for Beginning Voice but I'm scared that I'll get ridiculed and made fun of for not even being able to sing at all in the first place. I really don't want to give up on trying to sing at least at typical karaoke level but I might get tempted to drop if made fun of....
2 AnswersSinging7 years agoUnderweight, how to gain weight in a healthy way?
Hi I'm 20, about 5 feet and I'm in the 70-80lbs range.
I've gone to a nutritionist my doctor recommended to me but they just gave me a protein shake to make and drink that was usually what they gave to those who wanted to lose weight but said it should work for me as long as I don't exercise.... That was pretty much bs to me and that was all they did and the shake made me gag constantly.
I also have low iron and possibly low zinc.
I'll be taking a boot camp workout PE class this semester so I'll have plenty of exercise.
Any help at all will be awesome!
Tips, advice, healthy recipes for newbie cooks, etc!
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness7 years agoQuestions about lotions?
How often do you use it?
When do you use it? (Ex: after shower, before going out)
Where do you use it? (Ex: only arms and legs, whole body)
How do you deal with the greasy or whatever finish? Especially on your hands?
And what brands or whatever are your favorite? :)
4 AnswersOther - Skin & Body7 years agoAm I the only one? (Pubic hair questions)?
Hi, so I've always heard from some girls that they shave their pubic hair everyday or quite frequently, but with my pubic hair it's almost impossible for me to do so!
My pubic hair is really thick, straight and prickly. I always have to wait for it to get to a certain length to be able to shave it without it being extremely painful. One time I shaved too early it felt as if I tore a whole thin layer of skin off along with the hair! I also hate having to wait for it to grow out a bit because it gets itchy and sometimes a few of the hairs stick out of my underwear and it's really embarrassing (especially if someone plans a last minute beach or pool party and it sticks out because I haven't gotten to the length I need to shave!)
It's really embarrassing so I hope no one pokes fun. Do any of you have the same or similar problems? And do any of you have any tips or advice to help? Like having cream that stunts the growth for a while?
Thanks in advance!
6 AnswersWomen's Health7 years agoBest makeup for a newbie?
Hi, I'm planning on starting to wear makeup a few times a week but I'm very inexperienced.
Complexion: I have occasional and hormonal acne, my face is oily and sometimes shiny. My eyebrows don't really have any shape to them (there are no angles) and aren't filled. I don't have many eyelashes and they aren't very long. Both of my lips have two shades of colors instead of one and are a dull pink.
I would love to know your personal favorites, your recommendations of natural makeup that I can use, and tips on how to apply or spf or to keep it long lasting and etc!
Also, I would like to not worry about getting my makeup on anything or anyone throughout the day and I would prefer to not have anything too heavy or too hard to apply.
4 AnswersMakeup7 years agoDo I need to put on moisturizer with my makeup?
Hi, I have never used makeup (outside of my stage makeup class and someone else putting it on me) and I was wondering if I NEED to use moisturizer.
I have oily skin, which is why I assume I'll need toner. But I was wondering if moisturizer is necessary in my case. Because I find it strange to use something that takes away my oil and then add something that will pretty much replace my oil right after. I have also thought and assumed that moisturizer would make it more difficult to apply makeup.
