In your own words can you please describe what "common sense" gun control is? This term has been used by some of the candidates in the elections this year and they are pretty non-specific as to what their intentions are.

Tell me what you think it means when you hear "common sense" gun control.

Just curious what people's opinions are of the MIAD grip.

I'm building my first AR 15 from parts:

So far I've assembled a Spike's Tactical Lower receiver. I've got a CMMG 20" Government profile flat top upper with a chrome lined barrel and chamber in a 1/7 twist on the way. I'm going to use a detachable carry handle for the time being until I can get an ACOG TA31RCO-A4. I'll probably free float the hand guard with a LaRue railed set too when I get more $.

I'm just curious what the general opinion is on AR 15's. Do you have one? Do you want one? I have lots of rifles AR, AK, M14 etc, but the AR is my favorite shooter.

I love my AR it's accurate, easy to shoot and has lots of upgrades available.

I know some people don't like them because they have black plastic furniture, pistol grips and flash hiders. I want to hear from these people too even though I don't really understand their positions.

Why Is Obama in favor of making a law against states issuing concealed carry permits for guns? I've had my permit for 12 years and I don't want to give it up. I'm a law abiding citizen and have gone through all my background checks and training. It bothers me that he's in favor of taking this away from law abiding citizens.

What do you think will happen to gun ownership rights in the country if Obama is elected?

Will he try and push for another so called "assault weapon ban" (even though there is no such thing as an assault weapon.) Do you agree with his position to revoke CCW permits for law abiding citizens nationwide? What is your stance on his support for banning center fire rifle ammunition?

Do you think it's ignorance on the part of the folks that run the boards that the only place to ask firearms related questions is in the hunting section? I'm a target shooter. I've never been hunting. The 2nd ammendment isn't about hunting. Should yahoo make a Firearms or Shooting seciton?

I bought a used Glock 17 recently because I've always thought they were neat. I use it for target shooting and plinking. It's always kept locked and seperated from ammunition when not in use.

The thing is when my sister in law found out I had a Glock she freaked out and said there was no need for me to have an "assault weapon" and basically callled me a criminal for owing it.

Do you thnk she is right?
