  • Can I use Car Wash Soap on my Disc Brakes?

At my local self spray car wash, the high pressure spray is mixed with soap. Is it OK to use that option on the wheels / disc brakes? I want to use the high pressure but am not sure if the soap hurts the braking ability in a WD-40 sorta way. Thanks!

  • Where May I Hunt in Colorado?

I am new to Colorado and am wondering where I can hunt. It seems the SWA's (state wildlife areas) are OK, but I'm wondering if you can hunt on any or all of the BLM (bureau of land management) land and/or the USDA forest service land. Thanks for your help!

  • Shall we Execute Drunk Drivers at Random?

Each month, let's round up all of the people that are convicted of drunk driving over a certain limit. Perhaps .20 BAC which is considerably higher than legally intoxicated anyways. Out of that group of people nationwide, we could randomly pick one and execute them. No drawn out trial. Just an execution. We would surely have their crying mothers on TV news saying how terrible it is. Well, I'm sure this would be such a deterrent that almost nobody would drive drunk anymore and thus save many lives of others on the road (who are quite randomly executed as well) and it would even save the lives of some of the drunk drivers themselves.

Would this work in practice? Would it be acceptable in the American legal system? Would you support it? What are your thoughts on this proposition?

  • Looking for a Secular Jesus Book?

Could someone please recommend a good book for non-Christians that is about Jesus' teachings from a secular perspective. I'm interested in his moral teachings that are not biased by religion. Please don't say the Bible. Thanks for your suggestions!

  • What is the difference between oxygen and a free radical?

Why is oxygen in the form of a "free radical" bad, but oxygen in general clearly essential for life? What is the difference? My understanding is that the free radical has one electron that is not paired and thus makes it reactive. So how is stable/nonreactive oxygen used by the body?

  • Are there any unemployment benefits for people who quit a job but now can't find work?

I am an engineer that has worked in the oil industry for three years up until December of '07 when I quit. I went traveling until about a year ago but when I returned, oil companies weren't hiring anymore. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering, but I find it hard to get work as I am now over 4 years out of college without any experience in other industries besides oil. I was lucky to have been paid well and have managed financially the last year and a half, but things need to work out soon, because it could start getting ugly. Are there any financial aid options for someone such as myself. I wasn't "laid off," however I still feel that I am a bit of a victim of this economic downturn. Any suggestions / resources are very much appreciated.
