  • Recommend a breed of dog best suited to my description please!! :) X?

    Hello,

I live with my parents and have finally been allowed to buy a dog. I m legally an adult but with respect of my parents restrictions on what type of dog I get because it is their house, I need some guidance. I m looking for a dog that is a great companion, intelligent, preferably doesn t shed much at all, is happy to come along in the car, go for walks, or lounge around with me on my bed or couch. In regards to the cost of the dog, I m not looking for the cheapest way out, but a dog such a great Dane that has enormous maintenance requirements and huge food and medical bills will not be appropriate.

Some of the breeds I ve been looking at include the cavoodle, the Golden retriever (however this breed sheds incredibly), the bishop frise and brittany spaniel. All breeds I have loved and have previously owned a Labrador so I am used to the energy of a bigger dog if that is in your suggestions!

Thank you for your help :)

  • What breed of dog is on the smaller side, loves to go for walks, is intelligent, loyal, friendly and always wanting a cuddle?

My parents are finally allowing me to get a dog if I pay board each week. We used to have a Labrador retriever so our backyard is well equipped for dogs - it is big with plenty of grass for running around, has a pool (that is fenced) and the entire backyard is fenced.

I am an avid dog lover. I was considering getting a golden retriever because I have had experience with retrievers and understand their amiable personality. I admire their intelligence and their loyalty. My parents however, said they don t want a dog that big. So, I have to reconsider what type of dog I am going to get. I d like a dog that is on the smaller side (probably no bigger than a goldendoodle), is really active but at the same time always loves a cuddle, is loyal and is friendly, meaning isn t likely to bark at everyone that comes to the front door.

    Thank you! :) xx

  • What are your favourite suburbs in America?

I don't really want you it to be a big city, but perhaps outside of that city in the suburbs or a small town (not too small though).

    Are they safe?

    Is it nice there?

Thanks for your answers in advance! :) x

  • What are the nicest/best suburbs/small cities in America?

I don't live in America, so it is hard for me to grasp the answer to this question without actually visiting America for a prolonged period of time. So, in your opinion (or a website or something), what suburbs or small cities do you think are best to live in for a young family?

By suburb or small city I'm basically referring to anything with a population under 300,000 - so please don't pull New York Cities on me ahah

By 'best' I would probably refer to the place:

    - Being Safe

    - Having nice houses

    - Having lots of amenities

    - Having a variety of employment and good income level

    Thanks! :) xx

  • Is minus nine squared, 81, or minus 81?

It's a simple question, and applies for all numbers being squared, but what is -9 squared? For four years, I have been taught that it is equal to minus 81, but this year - having a new teacher - I am being taught that it is actually minus 81. I've been left very confused! Please answers! xx

  • I am not allowed a dog permently, so what are temporary solutions?

Before you jump to conclusions, I am saying, that my parents don't want to sign up to a whole 15 years commitment of a dog. However, we are allowed to foster dogs from the RSPCA until they find forever homes or be puppy raisers for Guide Dogs Australia. Before we make a decision on what will be best suited for our family, I was wondering if there is anything like this? Apart from dog-sitting for a job. Thankyou xx :)

  • How do I convince my parents to let me get a dog?

Growing up I had a labrador; she was gorgeous &I loved her dearly but she died a few years ago. I miss her company &really want a dog - not to replace her - but to be my friend like she was. :) I really love dogs &have a passion for them. I spend a lot of my time researching them & know a lot of information about most breeds. My parents however, won't allow me to get a dog despite that it what I want more then anything. I really would like to work at the shelter but I need to be 18 years to volunteer which leads to my interaction with dogs minimal (apart from when I visit my aunty and uncle and go up to the dog park and look after dogs for a couple hours). The issue isn't money, & my mum loves dogs ( I feel that I'm getting through to her actually). My dad wanted to be a vet but because my labrador was a 'dumb blonde' he doesn't want a dog anymore. I wish he would realise how much I love dogs. Please tell me your stories & methods. I have proved responsibility & it's not just a phase x

  • How can I convince my parents to get me a dog? Xx?

Probably the most overused question about dogs on here ; but I really do need a proper answer. If your going to tell me to wait until I move out - I don't mean to be rude - but don't bother. I have a passion for dogs. I want to spend time with them, and I want one more then anything. However my parents won't allow me one and I don't understand. There is no legitament reason as to why I am not allowed a dog. If there were, i would understand and learn to accept, but I feel like there is nothing but sheer stubbornness and idiocy standing between me and something I love. So please tell me your stories of how you got your parents to get you a dog? Xx much appreciated <3

  • I want to be a journalist when I get older - what online jobs and sites can I start using these skills?

When I grow up I would like to be a journalist and write about places, cultures, animals and just wonders of the world - not so much politics, celebrities and the boy next door. Whilst researching job ideas, I saw online jobs as 'content writers' but unfortunately a lot of the sites I saw aren't designed for Australian use. I would like to get paid as some writing websites do suggest. What is a good site for this? Thankyou xx

  • iPod Touch 4th generation (I think) is coming up with - charging is not supported with this accessory?

Heya, I'm am getting this notification coming up on my iPod Touch screen saying that charging is not supported with this accessory. Quite annoying really -_- But anyhow, I thought that it was a problem with the white chord/cable (still think it is), however it actually works when I plug it into my computer? So then I thought that it might perhaps be the black cable (the part that plugs into the power point), however I used it to charge my phone with its HTC charger cable and it worked fine! So im really not sure.

At this stage I don't really care what the reason (whether it be white chord or black chord) is, I just really want to know how to fix the problem! so please let me know ! :) Thanks heaps

  • What would happen if all the american and american allied troops just got up and left the afghanistan war?

What would potentially happen if all the american and american allied troops fled from the afghanistan war? Like even if they bombed the airports or something, is that really such a bad idea?
