  • What is going on, and what am I supposed to do?!?!? PLEASE help!?

So in my creative writing class at school, we have days where someone writes something and everyone in the class gets a copy of the piece to revise and then give back to the writer to help with their revision. Today, it was my turn.

When I got the copies back, almost all of them were normal and had criticisms and notes about the piece on it. One of them, however, had no revisions, and instead had written quotes from love songs and a phone number. There was no name on it, but given the limited number of males in my class, I'm pretty sure who wrote it. The person whose I think it was is two years older than me, and we've never really said anything to each other before.

PLEASE help me; what am I supposed to do???

I'm really bad with these sorts of things. Should I text the number on the paper? I honestly don't think I want to date anyone right now, and I don't want to give the wrong impression, but I'm really curious. I'm conflicted; I wouldn't want to make him feel bad by risking either saying something wrong or not saying anything at all. At the same time, though, I have so many doubts. What if this is a joke? What if he mistook me for someone else? I'm going to see him in class on Monday, and I feel pressured to decide what to do before then.

Thank you so so so much!

  • How can I adjust my current routine to lose a few pounds when all I can do is MAINTAIN?

I'm a 5'4½" girl, and I weigh 130 lbs. I know that's a healthy weight, but the range I prefer to stay in is 125-130, and I'd like to lose a couple of pounds just to get down to around 127 where I feel most comfortable.

I feel like I've tried everything, but for the past six weeks I've been at 130 and I can't seem to drop any weight! For the first four weeks of this period, I worked out once a week outside of gym class. Knowing that that wasn't enough, I now work out four times a week outside of school. My workout routine is a 40-minute treadmill program that burns around 435 calories.

Because I feel like I've been working out as much as I can, I'm wondering whether the problem is my diet. I eat mostly all-natural foods at home, but I'm a fairly picky eater and what I love most is carbs. Still though, when I'm at the high end of my range like this, I try to cut down on the amount of snack foods I eat and the amount of treats I have after dinner. Perhaps I'm not being as strict on this as I need to be, but is this the true core of the problem?

What I'm planning on doing this week to hopefully lose a few pounds from 130 is working out four times a week on the same 40-minute treadmill program and STRICTLY ensure that I only eat 3 meals a day plus one under 200 calorie snack. Is this enough for me to lose the little weight I want to lose and not maintain again??

  • Which is more red: Loreal Feria 66 or R68?

I'm going to be dyeing the bottom part of my hair red in a couple weeks and I want to know which Loreal Feria dye is a more vibrant red, 66 (Ruby Fusion) or R68 (Ruby Rush).

I'm planning on lightening my hair (which is naturally dark brown) to a light brown/dark blonde before dyeing it. I've used R68 before but on unbleached hair, which is why that time it hardly showed up. Comparing the boxes at the store, the swatches of 66 look more vibrantly red than that of R68, but I've seen reviews from 66 saying it just turned their hair brown.

Help! I want the reddest dye of the two.

    Thanks!

  • I need a site which gives a natal chart as well as a FULL interpretation!?

I've been trying to get onto Cafe Astrology, but the server's down. If this doesn't get fixed soon, I'll need to find another site which brings up FULL chart interpretations (I'm running an astrology club and I'm giving them a site to bring up their charts). I can't use Astro.com's AstroClick Portrait because the people in the club are brand new to astrology and wouldn't know what to click on to see the interpretations.

I need a site like Cafe Astrology that provides a full, written, easy to access interpretation as well as a picture of their natal charts (though that last one isn't a total dealbreaker). Can you help me??

  • Can a salon dye your hair with box dye, and if not, could you touch up professional dye with box dye?

I dyed part of my hair with Loreal Feria R68 a little over a month ago, and since day 1 it hasn't really showed up over my dark brown hair. I'm planning on going to a salon to have them bleach out the color and lighten my hair a few shades. My parents insist that I have to get my hair dyed there, too (I've asked if I could get my hair bleached at the salon and then dye it at home, but they said no), and this is where my question comes in.

Obviously, going to a salon is expensive, and I wouldn't want to go there every couple months or so to touch up the dye when it starts to fade. I would much rather touch it up with box dye at home. Could I ask the hairdresser to dye my hair with the same box dye I would use to keep up the color? Is it worth it?

A reason why this would be a good option is that I'd like to use the same dye I used before (Feria R68), because I love the color and on lightened hair it would actually show up. They've told me though that if you use Feria over/under another dye not from the Feria line, your hair will start to smoke. Crazy, I know!! So if it makes more sense for the professional to use professional dyes, I would have to find a different color when I need to touch it up.

What should I do? Are professional dyes that much better than a box dye? Will the hairdresser object to using box dye on my hair? Is there another dye besides Feria (but preferably from Loreal) that looks as good as R68? If there is, would a box dye even have an effect on fading professional dye? I know color doesn't cover color.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Some Hollies songs similar to Bring Back Your Love To Me?

I came across the Hollies song Bring Back Your Love To Me and I love its beat, catchiness, and vocal harmonies. Unfortunately, it's a relatively unknown Hollies song, and I'm having trouble finding other songs of theirs with the same energy. Can you recommend any Hollies songs that are similar?

Note: I know their song Kill Me Quick is basically the same song with different lyrics, but I'm looking for different songs that share the same attributes as Bring Back Your Love To Me.

  • Best underrated British Invasion bands/songs?

I'm looking for some good but underrated bands (not necessarily British) that played British Invasion style at some point in their careers. Suggest me as many bands as you want! It would be really helpful if you gave me a few songs of theirs too; I need somewhere to start if I'm going to give them a listen. I already love The Beatles, The Monkees, The Who, and The Kinks, if that helps.

    Thanks! C:

  • Best underrated British Invasion bands/songs?

I love the whole 60s pop/British Invasion style, and I've been looking for some more good bands to listen to that I haven't heard already. And by British Invasion, I mean the style, so I'm not limiting this to British bands if another band played a similar style. Also, these bands don't have to have only played this style. As long as they went through this phase at some point in their careers, I'll be happy to give 'em a listen C: I already love The Beatles, The Monkees, The Who, and The Kinks, if that helps.

So suggest me as many bands/songs as you'd like! It's much appreciated :)

  • Bleaching hair at home! Products and how-tos please!?

Since I'm inexperienced with using bleach, I need help with figuring out what products I should get and any methods that'll help when I bleach my hair. It's naturally a dark brown with faded red dye in it. I figured I'd probably use the Salon Care 40 volume creme developer, but as far as the bleach itself, I'm at a loss. Which brand is the best? Should I just use a white bleach or a blue-based one? Also, I'm purchasing all products at Sally's Beauty Supply, so please recommend products I can get there.

I also need help with figuring out the process I should use when bleaching my hair. I DO NOT WANT TO BLEACH MY HAIR TO A PLATINUM BLONDE. The permanent red dye I'm using would be too bright on extremely light colored hair. Instead, I'd like to simply bleach out the faded red color in my hair already and lighten my dark brown hair a few levels to a dark blonde or a very light brown. How long would I need to keep the bleach in with 40 volume developer to get that color I want? Is there a certain procedure you've used before when bleaching your hair? Anything helps.

    Thank you!

  • Is it possible to bleach dyed dark brown/red hair in a way that it doesn't turn brassy/damaged?

I dyed the bottom third of my dark brown (level 4) hair with Loreal Feria R68 a few weeks ago (virgin hair, without bleach), and my hair was barely tinted. You can hardly see the color. So in a few months, after the color's faded a bit, I'd like to go to a hairdresser and have them bleach out the dye and leave my hair a lighter color (not blonde; probably a light brown) so I can reapply the dye and have it actually show up. But will the bleaching leave my hair looking brassy and awful? If I cover it with dye, will it still be problematic?

Also, there's the issue with damaging my hair. My hair currently has awful split ends from straightening it a lot, but it doesn't break off or anything like that. I'm completely open to trimming off the split ends before I bleach/redye my hair too. I also use HealthySexyHair Soy Renewal before I use heat on my hair, and it keeps it soft. Could my hair actually go through with bleaching and dyeing again? I wouldn't be bleaching my hair to the point where it turns blonde, so it shouldn't be AS bad, right?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Favorite covers of legendary songs that are as good/better than the original?

Green Day's cover of Working Class Hero (by John Lennon) is probably the best cover of a legendary song I have ever heard. It's as good, if not better than the original, and that's really hard to do. Here's the link if you want to check it out. It's phenomenal.

  • Bleaching and redyeing hair at salon questions?

I dyed the bottom of my hair red (ombre effect) at home with box dye about a week and a half ago, and while the ombre effect looks good, the color is barely visible over my natural dark brown hair. I'm thinking of letting my hair recover for a few months, and then around December or so going to a salon or to Supercuts or somewhere where they do dye and have them bleach the dye out of my hair and put a medium red color on that's actually going to show up. These are my questions about it.

    - I don't want them to bleach my hair until it's white or anything, because I'm not using semi-permanents and I don't want the color to look firetruck red. However, if they only bleach my hair so the color I have in now is removed and my hair turns a few shades lighter (dark blonde/light brown) will it look too brassy? I don't want the new color to fade to orange if the hair underneath it a funky color.

    - Can I request that they use a box dye or at least something that I can obtain myself? It's going to be expensive, and I wouldn't want to go back every couple months to get the color put back in. I'd rather do it myself if I could. From experience, can you purchase and use yourself the hair colors they use at a salon? Maybe at Sally's or something?

    Thanks!

  • Can Loreal HiColor show up over dyed hair? Please help?

I dyed the bottom part of my hair with Loreal Feria R68 about a week ago on virgin hair, and it's barely visible. In about a month, when I would normally touch up the dye, I'm thinking of redyeing it with Loreal HiColor HiLights instead, because it has high lift power and should hopefully get the color to show. I know that dye doesn't cover dye, but this dye is made to lift dark hair (mine's naturally a level 4 brown) and it might lift dye too. But the last thing I want to do is cover my hair with more dye that isn't going to show up.

Do you think that Loreal HiColor would show up over hair that has been previously dyed? I could wait a little more than a month to redye it, but I really want that color as soon as I can have it! Also, since Loreal HiColor only contains the dye itself, should I buy a higher volume developer (30-40?) to go with it? Would it help the color to show?

    Thanks!

  • I need help finding a good all-natural face and eye highlighter?

I've seen beauty gurus on youtube use a highlighter on the bridge of their nose and on their cheekbones, as well as in the inner corners of their eyes. I've been looking around for something like that, but I can't find anything! Can you guys help?

Also, the only brands I can use are Tarte, BareMinerals, Josie Maran, etc. because they're all-natural.

    Thanks!

  • Tips for dyeing your hair red ombré at home with box dye?

I'm using Loreal Feria Power Reds R68 and my natural hair color is a level 4 brown. Are there any home dyeing techniques I can use to get that blended, ombré effect? Should I use a brush or just hands (with gloves) to apply it? To get an ombré look, should I put less dye at the top and more at the bottom of my hair? Any other things you could recommend?

Thank you so much; anything's appreciated!

  • Do you tend to act most like another sign besides that of your sun? Inc. relevant positions/aspect patterns?

Depending on whether you have a sign's planet in rulership, strong aspects towards that sign's ruling planet, a stellium in that sign, etc., that sign may have more influence over you than the sign of your sun.

For example, I'm a Pisces sun, but I tend to act more like an Aries. I have Mars in Aries (in rulership), as well as a stellium in Aries with Mars, Mercury, and Saturn. Considering that my actions (Mars) as well as my thought processes (Mercury) are both ruled by this sign, I often express that energy more than that of my Pisces sun. I also have Moon in Sagittarius, and having this fiery Moon sign trine my stellium in Aries allows the Aries energy to show up in my more instinctive processes as well.

    What about you?

  • How soon does red permanent dye fade and what color does it fade to on dark brown hair?

My natural hair color is dark brown (between a 4 and a 4.5) and I'm planning on dyeing the bottom third of my hair red with permanent dye. This is the dye that I'm planning on using: http://haircolor.wikia.com/wiki/Feria_67_Rich_Aubu... . I chose it because even though it's an auburn, it isn't an orangey auburn, and should hopefully give me the medium-to-dark red I'm looking for on top of my dark brown hair.

The questions I have are how fast red permanent dye fades and what color it will fade to. I know red is the fastest fading color, but this is permanent dye, not semi-permanent. I'm wondering how long it'll last before it fades. Also, if anyone knows what color red permanent dye fades to on top of dark brown hair, that would be really useful as well. Thanks!

  • Best way to dye bottom third of hair in a straight line?

I'm dyeing the bottom third of my dark brown hair red with permanent dye at home in about a month or so (right before school starts). I'd like the line where brown fades into red to be pretty symmetrical, but I don't know the best way to do it so that it doesn't look uneven.

One of the options I've been thinking about it pulling the hair I want to dye back into a ponytail and then dyeing the ponytail, but I don't know how even it will turn out. I could just push my hair to either side of my face and dye the parts I want that way, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get it even.

Also, I've wondered whether the line from brown to red will look like it fades into red or whether it will look blunt. Because if there's a good chance it will look like it fades into red, getting the line even isn't too important.

My question is basically whether dyeing a ponytail or simply dyeing hair when down will create the most even line? Also, whether or not dyeing the bottom part of my hair will look almost ombré, with a faded border, or whether it will look blunt? Is there a specific way to make the boundary between colors blend?

    Thanks! C:
