4 AnswersLanguages10 years agoQuestion about workers being nude?
I have a property with pond, where we like to go swimming. However it has become overgrown with water weeds and I need to pay someone to extract them. I was thinking of hiring some of those hispanic workers that are looking for work on the streets (I live in LA). They will be paid well. However, I do not have swimsuits for these men, and I don't expect that they would have any on them either. I do not want people I do not know coming into the house either. Would it be wrong to expect them to do this work in the nude? Or is that inappropriate in your opinion? What about in hispanic culture? I live in a secluded place. This is a serious question, because I am going to do this and I don't want to offend anyone!

1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture10 years agoWould you judge someones kids based off of their names?
Some names seem really low class.. Names like Jalynn Rayne and Brielle Braylee etc. I guess what I am asking is do you also think you can tell when people are low class based off of their names. I think this is a relatively new thing.
10 AnswersBaby Names10 years agoDo you believe that everyone is really equal?
This is a relatively new idea. Because this has not always been a constant truth, I do not believe that it is absolute. There are faster, stronger, smarter, better people out there. I think that we are raised to believe that everyone is equal and the same, even though it is not necessarily true. Do you agree?
18 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy do people these days say that race does not exist?
I feel like it is some sort of politically correct conspiracy. Like there have been race related problems in the past so people are trying to prevent this from happening in the future by just denying something that obviously exists. Can someone convine me? There is SOMETHING out there that makes a Swede look so different from a Kenyan. And it's not just skin color. It's hair texture. Bone structure/density. Susceptibility to certain diseases. etc. If people don't want to call it "race" anymore, than what are they going to call it? As long as there are different cultures/values/stereotypes that go hand in hand with different groups of people, there will be misunderstandings and discrimination.

22 AnswersParenting10 years agoIs Italian mutually intelligible with Romanian? If so, to what extent? Which languages are?
I read somewhere that of all the Romance languages, Italian was the most mutually intelligible with Romanian. But to what extent? Is it like Portuguese and Spanish? Or is it more of a difference?
10 AnswersLanguages10 years agoDo you believe that having a child out of wedlock is selfish and irresponsible?
Here is where I am coming from: I have seen women who want to have a baby but are not married, nor do they want the father to have anything to do with their child. They want to raise the child themselves. I think this is selfish. All children deserve/need both parents actively participating in their lives. This is obvious because usually children who have their father present turn out a bit more well-adjusted then their single parent counterparts.
My parents raised me to believe that have a child outside of wedlock is irresponsible and selfish. Of course it happens all the time. But a lot of times these people say things like "Oh in this day and age it's normal" or "don't judge me!" That's kind of like saying to the cop that busts you for cocaine possession "Everyone does it and it's normal!" or the even more laughable "Don't judge me!" (It seems these days people like to do whatever they want and then say "don't judge me!" when they have to face social consequences for their actions.) I get is. Sex is fun. But we are all in control of our reproductive capacities these days (thank goodness). Sadly in many cases the men that come along and knock up the women seem to get off scott free. This makes me mad.
I would appreciate all opinions. Do you think I am being too harsh? I do not mean to offend anyone, I am simply sharing my opinion and would like to hear yours. :)
21 AnswersParenting10 years agoChild Pornography question: will I get in trouble? Please read all first before answering!?
Okay so I guess in order to ask this question I have to admit that sometimes I look at porn. Most of us (guys) do. But something is troubling me. I do not seek out child porn, but the way the sites are developed, you click a picture and it takes you to another site.. Some of these sites depict individuals who are obviously under 18.. Some look as young as 11 or 12, and I even saw a child that looked about 8! Or maybe even younger! Disgusting, I know, and sad. But my question is: I did not intentional look up these sites, they just popped up. If there was some way that some gov't official saw my history or something, would I get in trouble? Serious question, serious answer please!
