Jeffersonian Constitutionalists with a bit of Hamiltonian. Disabled Army veteran. Sometimes William O'Riely has to look over his right shoulder to see me. Although I would describe myself as a centrist I am far and above a constitutionalists. It is a living breathing thing until it has been beaten to death by do gooders and interlopers.

  • growth on ankle near open reductionn tib fib?

I had flats taken of my ankle and foot 14 days ago. A possible first metatarsal dislocation, the reason for the xray is causing the first joint of the great toe to protrude. Until I can see a podiatrist I am holding the bone is a position with tape at that location. I believe a plantar tear may have been diagnosed at the time. The toe was violently moved distal. The new problem has not been completely diagnosed. 30 years ago, while on duty I had several severe fractures. I had open reduction tib fib surge, a stein-man pin and wire used to stabilize them. Both were close to the joint of the ankle and reduction was completed there. I continued airborne duty in boots and the pin began protruding both appliances removed. Anklelosis (sp) set in and the ankle has swollen considerably over the years. With the current problem I am in considerable pain. Also the Perorneal Nerve is showing less conductivity and there is a "pins and needles" sensation most of the time. I am not a diabetic nor do I drink. I say thiis since these problems seem to be associated with that. My GP called and told me there was a "growth on my ankle" not the bone or the injury site. At this time his voice changed to a more serious tone. He indicated in a round about way that it is not an osteophite. He said a MRI will be needed to be ordered and he referred me to a podiatrist. The ankle has grown weaker and the hair around lower leg is thinning considerably. I also had 15 fractures to my left acetebula. I am favoring my right leg more and more causing pain in that area. I anticipated problems from this incident and I accept them. He knows I have considerable medical training while I was in the military and his elusivness does bothered me. I was injured many times, but this word "growth" bothers me. I realize that I have no way to show anyone what this is. I also realize any answer would be subjecture and I accept this. Can anyone tell me how they would use the word "growth" in this context. Of all my injuries I have had, this word is the one that I never expected to hear especially concerning an old injury on a healed site, and where there was surgerical intervention. I thought this problem resolved years ago except for common complications. Thank you.

  • Olympic Boxing scoring?

I just watched Cuba and The USA bantam weights fight. I do not know what fight the 'judges' were watching, but The Cuban got beat soundly, he ate more leather in the 3rd round than USA did in the whole fight. And guess who won?

Has anyone else seen something like this? The guy that gets beat up wins, and not by one point by 5 or 6 or 7?

This is not the first time I have seen this travesty in the ring. It's not just the USA it's everyone, the guy that wins does not..

Boxing, even amateur is not this pitty patty thing that they are espousing. And who taught these 'judges' count? 5 connecting punches, really? In a whole round, 5 punches.

Is there anyone else that notices what a joke the OLYMPICS have made of an honorable sport? Amateur boxing that is.

Is this joke of a scoring system and the math challenged judges here to stay? Is 5 the best score because that's how many fingers they can use while holding a pencil? If so, why even show up? It's a joke and everyone knows it except the jokers running it.

  • Gun Laws and Reality?

In Mexico it ILLEGAL to own a firearm and as we all know there are NEVER any shootings in Mexico. (Tongue in cheek)

Who owns the guns in Mexico? Law abiding citizens?

Outlaw guns. The outlaws WILL STILL HAVE THEM, the LAW ABIDING citizens won't.

Who will be running the show then?

  • Reloading 223 Question?

    I have 2 SIGS M400 1n8 and a DMR. 1n 9

I bought 72 gr Lupa bullets for both rifles hoping that will be a happy median.

I know little about reloading, I'll have help. Lot's of help. I ask way too many questions.

But so I know numbers if they don't:

Will the Remington brass I used from the 55gr (shot once) work? If not where can I get brass. I found 1000 of milsurp, 5.56 NATO peened primer cases 30 bucks will that work? Or will I have to use new brass?

    1. How do you clean the brass, if not new. I have a ultra sonic cleaner, but it wouldn't hold many rounds.

    2 What primers and lubricant?

    3. What amount of powder and what type should I use? I am paper shooting at 500yds...... more if the rifle can and I can do it.

    4. Seat depth of the bullet?

    5. What FPS am I going for, I don't know much about small cal precision rifles. I was thinking about 3000. Too much?

In an aside will has any one tried that Leupold that has the 223 drop compensation on it?

I put the Leupold rifle man on the FN FAL HB and got a Redfield for the SIgs

  • My wife has post polio and we cannot find a DR in our area.?

We are unable to find a pain mgmnt Specialist. The Drs seem to think they can cure her, in the mean time she is going down hill fast. There is no cure for post polio, they just have to live with it and it is getting very hard for her.

Atrophy total right leg. Scoliosis in her back.

Her last pain Dr referred her to a rehab specialist, there is no rehab, it seems as of they do not hear her at all. Ok maybe there is some sort of rehab, but these people do not understand the condition. It was a disease that was stopped 55 years ago and they are hardly familiar with it, and they don't want to find out. Can't read up on it?

What works on a patient without post polio probably will not work on someone that has had polio. Most of the PT they give her really hurts her. and it hurts her for days or months.

The Dr would see her 5 10 minutes write a pain med script and send her on her way. He never gave her a diagnosis for anything for the pain she was having. This is after we drove 350 miles to get there 3 nights in a hotel and 350 mile drive home. We couldn't get a decent referral from him, rehab? Again? He gave her a 'custom' brace she wore it for a half a day and it made it worse. Sometimes blocks help, it depends on the Dr.

Does anyone know of a pain mngmt specialist in the Vegas area? Maybe one that has some experience with post polio. Thank you so much

  • Can someone ID this insect(spider) bite by description?

I was bitten by something while cleaning in the garage. I had no knowledge of the bite until I saw it I have no idea how long ago it had happened As of this writing it has been 6 weeks since I saw the bite on my wrist.

Location: Below my wrist on the bottom radial (thumb) side.

Appearance: The bite was about 15 mm in diameter when I noticed it, red with the top dermis continually peeled off for the next 5 weeks. It could be described as a very bad sunburn. There was a noticeable swelling upon inspection, but since it was on the joint of the radial bone it was not noticeable until I saw the bite.

Now: The area has a small swelling to it, which could be the formation of a scar. It has stopped shrinking at about 10mm. When the skin is relaxed or manipulated to where the area protrudes there are 2 separate bumps about 3mm x 1mm long show. They are white and have an irregular, but specifically oblong shape.

Feeling: The area has never regained feeling. While writing this I palpitated the area and the numbness is more noticeable and remains localized to the immediate area.

This is the second time I have been bitten, 1st time a few years ago and the allergic reaction was the same.

I have been bitten by a Black Widow. Dizzy vomiting lost balance. I didn't know I had been bitten this time, and may never had if I didn't see the flaking skin. Does anyone have an idea what bit me?

  • Tim Larken was on tv discussing OBL and the said he was S.F /S.O.I. again.?

He said he was in the SEALS, I have read on the wall of shame, his ear drum was ruptured in BUDS. And he still claims to train military L.E.A. in VEGAS using his TFT. Much Like Jerry Peterson and S.C.A.R.S (what happened to him?) Does anyone vet anyone? Although he never said he was S.O. S.F. the newscaster did. Does anyone know, for a fact, if he was S.O. S.F.? He claimed to be working, (with a SEAL team?) in Central and South America. OR eluded to it very strongly. I don't know the years from his claims in the 80's. How or why, if none of this is true, someone hasn't stepped up and called B.S.?
