  • Is Pre-K really that important?

I was never in pre-k and my daughter is suppose to start pre-k in August. I don't feel that pre-k is that important. She knows how to count to 20 in two languages, she knows her colors, shapes, alphabet and we have been teaching her sign language since she was 6 months old. I understand its to get children ready for kindergarden but my girl listens and takes instructions well and knows how to respect adults. So is pre-k really that important?

  • Going by a nickname in school?

My daughter who is four goes by Sissa at home and well everwhere else so much that everyone only knows her by this name and when I call her Kaitlynn(her actual name) people ask who I'm talking about or assume that I have another kid (that's work people or new friends). Anyway Sis is suppose to start pre-k in August and I was wondering if she will be allowed to go by Sissa or if we should just let them use Kaitlynn (which I hate but she's named after my mom and my husbands mom) but she doesn't answer to Kaitlynn or Kaitie she says she is Sissa!

  • What is a good age difference between siblings? ?

I have a 3 year old and we are considering giving her a sibling I say the age gap is already too big what do you think? Granted I am 1 of 7 and my oldest brother is 17 years older then me and I'm not as close to my older siblings as I am to the ones closer in age

  • My 3 year old doesnt know her name?

As I stated my 3 year old daughter doesn't know or answer to her name which is Kaitlynn, I have called her Sissa forever and if asked she will say her name is Sissa. I don't like her real name my husband picked it out and its the only name we could half agree on. Anyway does anyone else have this problem with nicknames?
