My computer had been working without a CMOS jumper before.....after I had my computer formatted and fresh windows installation, I started getting CMOS bad checksum value errors during startup.....I couldn't even log into my BIOS with my correct password.....

When I checked my Intel motherboard, I couldn't find a CMOS jumper at all......I would like to know is CMOS jumper really necessary for the proper functioning of CMOS....

I tried removing the battery and replacing it.....different other methods....but it doesn't work.....dunno wat to do.....please advise me....

I've been having a lot of problems with my DVD writer recently...so please just try to help me out to solve it....

Actually I have a branded Dell PC and the DVD -RW/+RW came along with it. In the beginning, I use Nero 7 Premium to burn movies...it used to take long time to burn but it was working properly....but then later i changed the IDE controllers from PIO to Ultra DMA mode...after which i tried burning some movies into a DVD-R, the burning went through without any errors and it said burning process completed successfully...but when I tried to open the DVD...there are no files inside it...its empty...

I even changed back to the old PIO mode and tried burning...even then it went through...it took so long but burn process completed successfuly...but the DVD is still blank....I've wasted almost 5 of my DVD-Rs...

I've even tried to uninstall my DVD drive and let it autoinstall...even that doesnt solve the problem...i dont know what else could be the problem..pls help.

Hi guys. I heard that there are some colleges which offer you full scholarship for your studies and all you need to do is to sign a contract with them stating that you will work with them after graduating or something like that. Does anyone know about such colleges????

My computer has gotten infected with Trojanhorse, the name of it is webcrack4.exe, I've tried scanning my computer several times with Norton Antivirus and it caught 3 trojanhorses but unable to delete it. When I try to press ALT + CTRL + DEL to see the background procesess running on my computer, it says "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" Again when I tried scanning later, it caught almost 425 different viruses, I'm not able to delete any of them. My computer is getting more and more infected with this, pleaseeeee help me..........
