I train Muay Thai in San Diego. I also like to talk about investing and the stock market. If you have a question about either you can email me and ask.
Is there any good way to connect multiple tablets to the same screen?
So that you could switch between different screens and maybe even interact with them? Perhaps on a master tablet or computer monitor.
It's for an idea I have.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks6 years agoBYD Auto: ADR vs BYDDF.PK (pink sheet) vs HK1211?
I want to buy some shares in BYD Auto. The thing is buying a foreign stock through my brokerage account costs $15 plus the original $10 broker's fee(this is BYDDF.PK).
I've heard you can buy BYD as an ADR, which from my understanding is not a foreign stock because a US bank owns it?? Not sure. Also, don't they charge a yearly fee for ADRs?
Or, I could try to buy direct off the Honk Kong exchange, but my brokerage account won't let me do so. How would I even do that if I wanted to? I assume I could skip any added brokerage costs...
I guess basically I would like to know what the cheapest way to get a few shares of BYD would be? Thanks for answering this question ahead of time. I appreciate any feedback on ADRs, foreign brokerage accounts, etc. Any help is fantastic. Mucho Gusto!
1 AnswerInvesting1 decade agoWill BYD Auto ever be on the NYSE?
I really like the company, but I hate the 15.00 (on top of $10) I have to pay because its a foreign stock. Just wondering if it will be on the NYSE anytime soon.
Sidenote: Does anyone know of a brokerage account where they do not charge a foreign securities fee?
1 AnswerInvesting1 decade agoWhy does the text on certain website shrink?
I can't figure this out. I have Windows 7 and a HP Pavilion. For some reason when I double click on webpages sometimes it shrinks the text. It will only shrink it and won't get it larger (My facebook page is barely readable now). Its not the screen itself, or all my internet pages. Just certain ones that seem to shrink, and stay that way even if I restarted the browser or my computer.
Anyone think they can help me?
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoSome questions about being a combat medic?
Hey guys. I've been thinking of joining the military, I took a job test and it said that was recommended for me. I thought about it and might like to join the military. Anyway being a combat medic caught my attention. I'd want to be in the battle, but I'd rather save lives than take them.
My questions
1. How much money do they make annually?
2. Does having a college degree help?
3. Can I start training to become one through the national guard or something? Basically without having to join the military full time, at least not right away.
4. Is there any medical experience required?
Thanks for any answers to these. I'm really wondering about question 3. I'd rather not commit fully until I know its meant for me.
7 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoDifference between a 10k and an 11k?
Is there any difference between these two forms? Also, what's the difference then?
I'm looking at a company and I can't find their 10k, but they have an 11k.
2 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoHealthy meals for lean body mass?
Can anybody give me some healthy meals for lean body mass? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Just trying to eat better.
For dinner I usually try to eat chicken or hamburger as protein, cooked on my George Foreman. Then add some spaghetti and a salad before.
Also eat eggs and toast or oatmeal with blueberries in the morning.
Protein shake after I work out. Usually before or after dinner.
Any ways I can add in more vegetables would be greatly appreciated. I think I'm lacking in that area but don't really know how to cook these.
Also any recipes for any lean meals in general would be also be good.
Basically any meals or tips on what things I should eat to lose a little extra body weight. I also work out and do cardio regularly and I think I just need a boost in my diet to get to my goal.
1 AnswerMen's Health1 decade agoDo you think it's good to mix training in Muay Thai by boxing?
I've been thinking about going to some boxing classes to work on developing my punching. At first my Muay Thai coach told me that would be good since my kicks still aren't fully developed. So when I go to my first fight he doesn't want me to be out boxed (many beginner Muay Thai fighters use more punching then kicking).
Later he told me that I might confuse the two and it could mess me up with training.
I think it will be a good way to cross train, but now I'm wondering.
What do you guys think?
4 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoHow long do I need to wear my plastic retainer?
I have been wearing a plastic retainer ever since I got my braces off. Its been about 5 1/2-6 years that I've been wearing them now and I'm getting tired of it. Everyone says that they should be worn "forever", but I am not wearing these things until I'm 80.
I haven't been to the orthodontist in about a year because I have forgotten whenever I go home, but I still wear them fairly consistently.
How long do most people need to wear these? And If I stop wearing them after this long will the end result really be that noticeable?
6 AnswersDental1 decade agoHow long should I train before fighting in amateur Muay Thai?
How long do you guys think I should train before I would be ready for an amateur Muay Thai fight? How about MMA? I've taken Muay Thai for about 5 months and BJJ for 2. I go about three times a week but I am considering going everyday except sundays.
Thanks in advance.
