I am having some issues with my water temp at the moment. I have an 80 gallon tank with a chiller that should handle about 120 gallons. The tank has been set up for about two years now and I have never had trouble.

Recently I added Metal halide lights and built the tank into a wall. This never seemed to cause any problems at first, but the ambient air temp in the cabinet above and under the tank was quite high. However the chiller kept up and there was never any issues with the water temp. Now that it is starting to get a bit warmer during the day, the chiller is always working hard. I turned off the halides for a day and the temp came back down. So I then put an extractor fan above the tank so that the ambient air gets sucked into the roof cavity of the house. Even of a night when the lights are all off, and the ambient air temp is lower than the tank water, the chiller constantly works and never reaches the target temp of 25 degrees celcius. I have turned the heater off so this isnt cusing a problem.

Anyway, I have a theory that maybe something is heating the water in the tank like a powerhead or something. Does anyone else have a better theory????

I thought Manly played an exceptional game of football and were just too good for the Storm. Or was it just that the Storm played poorly.

I would love to study Parapsychology but can not find any college that offers it via an external mode here in Australia. Maybe someone offers courses that are done online or similar. Does not really need to be a degree level, but would need to be pretty solid and not just a basic course though
