Month old sleeps long then wakes up and eats a lot...?
Ok I am nursing my month old and she sleeps for like a 3-5 hrs. and then wakes up and nurses for like 30 mins and falls asleep, I burb her and try and get her to wake up and eat again but she wont. So I put her in her bed and she wakes up 10 mins later wanting to eat again, so I feed her, same thing happens and I can't get her to wake up and finish eating. She does this for like two hrs, until I get sick of doing it so I just give her a bottle of formula because I don't think she is getting enough milk from me, but while she sleep for the long periods I pump but only get about 2-3 oz all together from pumping 15-20 min on each side. I give her the pumped breast milk if I have some if not I give her 4 oz of formula. I use ot give her 2 but then she wasn't satisfied with it so I give her another 2 oz.
She was like this from when she was born. Sleep for long periods of time and then wake up really hungry, anyway to try and change this cycle? Also how can I increase my milk supply???
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat exercises can I start doing when I come home from the hospital? Also any healthy food ideas too?
What can I do when I come home to the hospital after having a regular vaginal birth? Nothing to crazy but little work outs and diet tips that will help me get back in shape?
Is the plank ok to do or is that to much pressure down there and what about sit ups? I really want to start getting healthy again...
Also any suggestions on what is good to eat to help me lose as I am nursing too!!! Please give specific food choices that have helped you that are healthy but filling.

2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDifference between electric pump and the lansinoh manual hand pump?
I have had an electric pump and it worked ok, it was a select comfort. I think it was like $50 so nothing really fancy. It did an ok job but it never gave me more than 2-3 oz. every like half hour to 45 min. I have read tonz of reviews on the lansinoh hand pump and everyone has said good things about it. I was just wondering what other moms on here that have used it and what they think about it... Any answers will help my decision, Thank you!!!
I have read a lot of reviews about the lansinoh manual hand pump and they were all really good reviews. Just wondering before I went and bought the lansinoh hand pump.
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoHow do I get my milk to come in?
How do I get my milk to come in so that my baby is satisfied after nursing on each side for 20 mins each? I had to give her formula in the hospital and I gave her some when we came home because she was still hungry and I had an inverted nipple on one side so she couldn't nurse on that side for like two days. But I continued to nurse her on the good side for like half an hour then gave her 4 oz of formula to make up for the other side.
Both my breast are good now and I nurse and nurse and nurse and she is still hungry, so I give her some formula (only about 2 oz. now) . How can I get it to where she is satisfied after nursing so I don't have to give her formula anymore to satisfy her hunger?
Should I pump in between each feeding? I'm afraid if I do that then I will not have enough milk for her when she is hungry again and I will end up giving her more formula.
Please, any suggestions I would be very grateful...
Oh and I nursed her more on the inverted nipple side once I was able to nurse on that side again so that I would better balance the two out, and I think they are about even, but no way of telling for sure...

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat post partum girdle works best for tall women?
I am 6' 2 " tall and am a lil over weight due to my children lol. I am wondering if anyone can suggest a place that they know that sells girdles for tall women. And if its better to do just the waist or the kind that have the thigh part too? The only problem with the thigh ones is that I have long legs too so I would need one that is like a capri to fit to my knees. Any help would be very grateful, thank you!!!
3 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoDoes infant ibuprofen do anything for a sore a fever, sore throat, and slight cough?
My toddler has has a fever for three nights (only at night), took her in and the doctor told me to give her ibuprofen, and let her ride it through. He is also the one that said she had a sore throat, which I didn't know unitl the doctor told me she had a sore throat. She hadn't coughed or anything like that, she actually has eaten a lot more than normal, but hasn't drank nearly has much as she normally does. But she has started coughing a little bit more today, she is fine all day its just when she falls asleep. The ibuprofen doesn't seem to be doing anything for her. Oh I also put some baby rub on her chest at night to help her breath through her nose better. Which actually seems to be working. But is there another form of childrens medicine I should try that would be more effective?
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoMy toddler had had a fever between 102-104 for three days, its only when she is asleep?
I took her to insta-care last night because we dont have a pediatrician right now because we just moved here about a week ago. When we took her in she had a fever of 102.4 F, and he said that that is actually normal but she feels so hot and gets flushed in the face when she wakes up and it takes her awhile to get moving which isn't normal for her. The doctor told me it is just a virus and sore throat to give her ibprophen. But its not doing anything for her fever, should I be worried or am I being dramatic?
