I would like to grow an avocado tree that produces seedless avocados that have edible skin. In Mexico they are called aguacate mil dedos, which means thousand fingers avocados. Is it possible to buy a tree like this in the US?

  • Ford E350 '89 Club Wagon passenger van and would like to turn it in for cash for clunkers but not eligible?

I did not see it on the list of eligible vehicles. It has low miles and works really well, so I also don't mind keeping it. But it gets around 14 MPG...

  • Historically, when could women own property?

I have heard the phrase many times that "At one time women could not even own property." I presume that this refers to real estate. If you search property titles for a particular parcel, the very early records sometimes show women as owners. How could this be and when and where did the change take place?

  • Mercedes 1988 190e reverse and park not working?

I have a Mercedes 190e 2.3 and for the past couple of months the shift lever will not push into reverse or park positions. The engine still runs strong and the car drives well in every other way. The body looks really good. It has 265k on the odometer, so I have to think hard about whether any expensive repairs would be worth it. It is an extra car, so I do not need it, but I like it. Has anyone else had this problem, and was it expensive to fix?

  • 89 Ford Club Wagon 15 passenger, w/front and rear AC. I tried using 134 retrofit refrigerant -does not work.?

I found out too late that I was not able to use the standard retrofit refrigerant. What seems to happen is that there is a low pressure cut out that causes the compressor clutch to disengage, after I added the new refrigerant. The compressor will only come on for a couple of seconds at a time. Every other car that I have tried retrofit this with seems to work fine, but not this one. Is it because it has rear air? Would adding something like R-22 help, or be destructive? There are 81,000 miles on this van so I would like a solution that lasts, but I am also willing to experiment.
