I'm 21

My step-mom works at the U of Delaware (exact job title I'm not sure)

I do not live with them, I have been on my own since my 18th birthday.

I know your parents can claim you legally until you're 24 IF you're a full-time student so I don't know if this would help get me the discount if I let them claim me or since I'm not claimed by them if I'm not eligible then.

Question:

Do I get some sort of family discount?

It's 12:30 am my time and so I would just call my step-mom, however I'm a night owl and she is not and I'm just too impatient and that's why I'm on here. I will obviously call her myself but I would like to get your thoughts.

I will be contacting the college too but that will happen tomorrow early in the am.

i have had a salt water aquarium for about a year, ive done the

required water changes, and for about a month now my calcium level has spiked

to almost 600 ppm. ive read that a high calcium level is ok for reef

tanks with no mention on ways to lower it since it dissapates naturally.

i have mostly fish and live rock, some shrimp, crabs, a couple

anenomes, and an urchin. I noticed 'barnicles' accumulating in the glass and

rock, which i guess are actually calcium deposits. Do you know of a

way to lower the calcium without throwing everything else out of whack,

and i used a scraper to get the deposits off the glass, but dont know

how to get it off the rocks and shells. Or maybe when the level comes

down they will be re-absorbed into the water? All my other levels are in

the ideal range (hydrometer 1.021, etc) Do you also know what the

causes may be for the calcium spike?

What was the hardest thing about keeping fish for you? What was the worst experience you had, because you couldn't find information out on how to do something. Tell me whatever you want, setting up the tank, finding the right fish, how to clean the tank, what was hard about setting up a saltwater tank, or a freshwater tank. Feeding how much. Anything you found hard, frustrating.

And is there anything you wish you could find more information on? Or could have found more information on at the time.

I have a adult Long-finned Black Skirt Tetra and within the last 3-4 days he started to swim on his left side and it's almost like he had a stroke because his right side doesn't really move and his fins aren't locked into his sides so that's not it. And along time ago i remember seeing something about popeye sydrome what is that. And his eyes seem like their try escpape from his little skull. But I don't know if their just doing that because he's swimming almost on his side all time the time and he's just trying to see or what. But for a few seconds he swims like a normal fish then suddenly he'll go completely horizontal. Please if you know what this is help me. P.s he has a completely healthy looking body, color fins all good. That's why this is so weird. Thank you

I have just recently bought a 45G (i think) tank off of craigslist, now in the photos the tank looked to be in rough shape with all kinds of mineral deposites and build up of what not. Now i was talked to the seller and he said just use a 1 blade razor with this jungle "lime off" solution and everything with clean up well. Wel last night i scrubed the tank for roughly 2 hours and the only stuff that came off was the chunks of whatever that were stuck to the glass. I let the lime off soak on the glass for roughly half an hour and there was no difference so i tried a bon ami paste (water and bon ami) i scrubbed and i scrubbed, no difference. I let it soak and still no difference. When i touch the glass it feels smooth but whe it's not wet it's nearly impossable to see the back of the tank. SO PLEASE if anyone knows what i can do please say somthing I don't mind putting alittle elbow grease into it so if there is a remedy that oyu know of please share it will be much appreciated. i recently came into another tank and would like to breed some fish that bring a pretty penny at market, and i have already started breeding guppies so plz don't just say guppies and mollys. And plz just freshwater fish thank you

i have a 30g and would like to breed plecos so what would i need and how hard and long does it take for them to breed what kind of plecos will generate the most money at market. I plan on selling the young thank you

Im currently breeding guppys but i want to move on to a more exspensive fish that I can make a bigger profait off of Pls don't get me wrong i love fish i have two tanks setup for my private fish, but i love seeing fish happy and breeding and i like selling top notch fish so others can enjoy them as well

Where can I sell salamanders???????

I have two very healthy tiger salamanders that I would like to sell. Where would the best site be to sell them. Or anything along the lines of an ebay site would be good too. I would just like to know where I can sell them.

Now my Q is whats the best tank setup? I mean 4 tanks to raise the fry 2 for breeding out exc.

i have few litters of guppies and 2months old now and i would lik eto sell them and i was wondering where the best site is to sell them or the best place to sell them(like around town) i have a petsmart, petco, and a few specialty fish stores near by. i would lik eto get mony for them so if you could tell me where to sell them that would be much appreciated thank you.

I have a pleco about 6 inches long, he lives in a 30gallon tank with 1 sanil, 5 ghost shrimp, 15 or so guppy fry, 5 adult guppies, 2 angel fish, and 10 tetras. I do regualr water changes of about 20% each weekend. I have three plants in the tank and a fake bush. My Q is should I give him the waffers or just let him eat what he finds? See I gave him 2 waffers and in the morning one hadn't been touched and the other just had about a 1/4 of it missing(i think that was do to the shrimp)

Also my water looks murky even though it's been established for 4 months I don't want to add chemicals to it and the color of the water looks to be a milky green looking what can I do. Or is it just that way from the light reflecting off of my rocks (river rock) with the green plants I have in there?

I'm 16 so in depth detailed answers would be nice

I've red articules about how some people have co2 injections for their plants in their tank. And they have a bubbke counter to monitor the amounts of co2 in the tank. I hae four plants right now and am thinking about getting some sort of grass, and floating plants for my fry oh i for got to mention that i have a 29g tank if that matters

i have a bubble curtain going at full speed is that bad or good? The pump is just a small pump and i have a 29g with about 17 different fish in it.

I have an extra 10g and heater and filter with gravel know my question is what should i add and what lighting, temp, plants ect. what should i do
