i just had braces put on last week but they only did the top row. my next visit isnt until next mth and i am assuming that is when they will do the bottom. is that normal to just have the top done only and the bottom later?

i have a 2 week old baby and i had planned to breastfeed exclusively. unfortunately, he spent his first week in the nicu because he had respiratory problems so we couldnt start on the breastfeeding right after birth. while in the nicu, i was pumping and he was taking it out of a bottle. by the time i started to try to breastfeed, he was having a problem latching on. a problem that i wasnt aware of was that i have flat nipples to they provided me a nipple shield to use. i was wondering if the nipple shield will also cause nipple confusion and that he will need it every time he breastfeeds. he latches on fine when the shield is on. i've tried letting him suck with the sheild on for a while and then try with it off but it frustrates him and he wont suck. any advise? should i be concern in the long run if he will only breastfeed w the shield?

i have a week old baby and i am currently breastfeeding as well as pumping so i can feed him some breastmilk out of a bottle if i feel, after 15-20 mins of breastfeeding that he needs more milk. i know breastfeeding over formula is best. does it make a difference that he is drinking breastmilk out of a bottle?

originally it was going to be for a few days but because of work schedule and lack of funds, the trip will only be for one day. what is a must do/must see on Catalina Island that will make the one day trip worth it. specific things and places would be greatly appreciated.
