  • Sometimes my dvd burner works...?

Basically I have my BIOS set to RAID (which may be the entire issue...) and sometimes the RAID bios detects my Dvd burner (TSSTcorp DVD+-RW H-553a (SATA; as is my Seagate 500gb)) and sometimes it doesn't obviously if it doesn't detect it then Windows won't either and visa versa. I have yet to contact Intel but I am considering that next, on the contrary my Hard drive which is attached to a different SATA channel has none of these issues.

Also may I add, I've already tried a different SATA cable, different Channels, and I tried my BIOS as IDE mode and it works but my hard drive slows wayyyy down. I am thinking of trying AHCI again but need to know how to implement the drivers into Windows Vista and XP (Dual-booting) both so I don't get a BSOD when I try to load either.

(Sorry for the length of my question but I find most people to be too unspecific)

    Motherboard: Intel DG33TL

    CPU: Intel Q6700

    RAM: G.Skill DDR2-800
