  • RE-3 discharge from the Navy?

I was discharged at the very end of training because I apparently had symptoms of PTSD (from a past event when I was younger). I was told and RE-3 or an RE-8 would allow you to go back; 6 months to a year. (I was never told which) I apparently did very well in my division and am wondering what I would have to do to re-enlist (I was told I could with my discharge code). I'm looking for answers and not people to be rude, since I have to wait until May to see a recruiter with intent to re-enlist. Thanks.

  • Why am I so hungry?

I started working out a few weeks ago; I drink 64-96 ounces of water a day and do a lot of weight lifting. I am an 18 year old female; 5' 7", 163 lbs. Why am I so hungry all the time? I eat a lot of protein. How many calories do I need a day? Thanks!

  • Navy GM A School?

I leave for RTC in a week. If all goes as planned, I'll graduate either November 7th or 14th. I've heard you can come home for Christmas? How does this work? And if you're held at A School waiting to start, do you still get to go home? I know I'm asking early but it doesn't hurt to know. Also, how many tickets for GM A School graduation? Thanks!

  • Elliptical test in Navy RTC?

I've been running and working out for 2 months. I've never been a good runner, but I'm definitely better than I used to be. I can do a 9 1/2 minutes mile apposed to 16 minutes when I started. Do I have to do the 1.5 mile in basic or can I do the elliptical test? Any advice on pushups would also be appreciated.

  • RTC and Gunners Mate school?

I leave for RTC two weeks from today. I've been working out almost daily for 2 months. I can endure running, but I'm not fast. My pushups aren't great either. (I'm a female, I know the physical requirements differ by gender). I've been studying and know almost everything in my START guide. I have a few questions.

    -How bad are vaccinations?

    -What is PT like?

    -Do you like the Navy?

    -What is GM school like?

-How many tickets do you get to A School graduation?

-What is PT like in A School?

Any advice at all is greatly appreciated, thank you!

  • Run training for the Navy?

I leave for RTC on September 9th. I'm an almost 18 year old female. I'm not a great runner but I starred and the routes I do range from 1 to 1 1/2 miles. How do I get faster? I'm not fast at all, I don't quit but I'm certainly no track star. Also, will running 5 days a week with a warm up of agility cones (that fast tip-toe thing over cones), stretching and 60 jumping jacks help me slim up? Anything else anyone would recommend for fitness? Thank you!

  • I think I may be transgendered?

I've been having serious gender dysphoria lately; even my dad brought up the past 8 or 9 months I seem to show more signs of not comfortable being a female and have been conforming more and more to masculinity. Are there any transgendered support groups or places I could go in CT? I'll be 18 in about 2 weeks. I really want to know who I am buy I think I need help sorting it out.

  • FTM binder question?

I ordered a Medium size binder from Tranz* Forms and it seems extremely tight; I have a 37 inch chest. I'm considering buying one from Underworks and I'm wondering if a certain style is more comfortable than others while still being effectively concealing? Comfort and breathing is key here. I graduate high school next Saturday and I want to walk across that stage with confidence. Thank you!

  • What percentage of sexual assault assailants actually get convicted in Connecticut?

What percentage go to trial and what percentage actually get sentenced? Is there actually a good source for these statistics because so far I've only found websites with very generalized information.

  • How do I improve at pushups?

I've been practicing for a while now and can barley push out 3 good pushups. I need to be able to do 24. I feel like my improvement has dead-ended and I have no idea what to do. Someone gave me the suggestion of doing 10 pushups every time I enter a designated room. Would 5 real and 5 girl pushups help me? I'm a woman so I don't build muscle quickly but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

  • Prior service enlisting in the Marine Corps?

Right now I am set to serve 4 years active duty in the Navy. Just out of curiosity, can someone with prior service in one branch enlist in the Marines? I'm excited about joining the Navy but I also want to know my options down the road, please don't give me that "you should have gone Marines to begin with" stuff because it was considered.

  • Drivers license in Canada?

I live in the US and currently hold a Connecticut State Drivers' License. I'm thinking I may want to move to Canada someday; so my question is would I have to take a drivers test in canada or could I apply for one because their road laws are so close to those of the US?

Is there a nutritional benefit in drinking a smoothie from McDonald's over a frappe or shake? If so, what is it? I realize fast food is bad for you to begin with, but I'm curious.
