  • Letting water sit for axolotls?

I have read that you should let the water sit out for 24 to 48 hours for them. Does that still apply if I am using a water conditioner? I do let it set for at least 4 hours, just to be sure it has done it's just and such, but is that okay? Or should I let it sit for a day or two as well? I don't want to hurt my little babies.

  • How much should I sell my baby axolotls for?

I am currently hatching about 80 eggs, dirty faced leucistic and GFP leucistic, or the ones that glow under black light. Now, when they get big enough, what is a fair price to sell the babies for? And where should I sell them? I'm in the US, so I won't ship overseas.

  • What should happen to animal abusers?

In your opinion what do you think law enforcement should do to people that abuse or neglect animals?

I personally think that "An eye for an eye" should be enforced, but that's just me.

  • Will a fantail goldfish's back fin grow back? Help, please!?

Back fin, tail fin, not sure the actual name of it. Anyway! I just bought this poor little baby calico fantail goldfish, about half an inch, if that! This guy is tiny! Anyway, I saw him struggling swimming around in a tank with about 10 goldfish much bigger, so I bought him to "rescue" him from his mean tank mates. So, this fish legit has no tail/back tail. Just a little nub. Will it grow back in time? Also, since he is so small, I'm keeping him in a 10G tank right now with a filter and air pump cause he is having so much trouble swimming around and my current goldfish are about 3 inches big, so he would be a snack. He pretty much just swims backwards. I'm having trouble getting him to eat, cause he can't eat at the top like other fish, but he hardly picks at the pellets on the bottom. Any suggestions? I don't want this little guy to die, he's a fighter! (I do change the water every other day)

  • Anyone experienced with axolotl eggs?

I'm about to get 30 Axolotl eggs, can you tell me what I need to get ready for them and how to care for them? I want personal experience rather than websites, I've done research and constantly find conflicting information. Please and thank you!

  • Fantail Goldfish question!?

Okay, I have 3 baby fantail goldfish (a little less than an inch or an inch and a half each) and two small albino plecos. Now, I have them in a 20G tank for the time being, I will be upgrading to a 75G when I find a good deal. I currently have a 75G filter for them to keep up with the waste, and do 35% water changes each week and test my water twice a week. Now, that's not my question, but I know that it will come up in the answers though.

My real question is about feeding them. One of my fish (Pierre) kept having swim bladder disease, but only for about 20-30 mins after he ate. I figured out it was from the normal goldfish flakes. After feeding him peas for 2 days, he was perfectly back to normal. So, is it healthy to feed them goldfish crisps, shrimp pellets, and algae wafers if I'm careful about over feeding? I only feed them twice a day, morning and night and make sure I only feed them enough to eat in 2-3 mins. I really don't want Pierre to keep floating after eating and with this new diet he has been fine for the past 2 weeks. I also don't want this diet to hurt them in the long run.

Like I said, I keep up with the water quality, so I know that's not the reason for the swim bladder.
