Let me just start out by saying I am NOT a techy person. I don't understand terms... so please explain things like I'm a total idiot (eh, maybe I am one).

We've had a Dell 537s (so slim version) since Xmas last year, it's great. NEVER one problem.

All the sudden, we get the Sims 3, and everything goes down the drain.

Put it in & installed everything,

***BUT when we went to play it, the computer shut down after like maybe 10 minutes...

we tried unplugging it &plugging it back it, reset the power strips, clean on external dust, etc. It took a few presses of the button to get it back on, but it turned back on, we pressed enter to 'start windows normally", and when it loaded, tried the game again. Sure enough, 15 mins or so later, back off again.

Now we can't get it back on. :(

HELP!

-I can not take my computer apart, please don't make me. Haha.

My friend is writing this story, and needed some "unusual" names. Some are made-up and some are changed around from their originals. Give your opinions or ratings please! (they will never be used on real children and we hated them at first, but they've grown on us.

I was just curious to know some of your experiences when it comes to telling people exactly how old you actually are? I mean, I've had some really strange reactions...

I'll be having a perfectly normal conversation with someone and when it comes to age they'll shut down. I'm used to it by now, as long as it doesn't affect my kids and how they are treated.

How about you? How old are you and how many kids do you have?

Just curious; I'm only asking because a lot of people tell me they think it's gross... but half of them have never even tried it themselves let alone gave it to the kids! My kids LOVE that stuff, and I like giving it to them on their toast way better than butter! (: I'd recommend it to anyone!

Just a quick question because we're getting a bit worried.

So I live in a pretty crazy house with family.

My aunt passed away, but I still live with her husband (the only father I've ever known). They have 8 kids, but I have custody of the youngest (long story), I have my own kids (I could for sure move out, but he needs me here to help out, huge house anyways), and my cousin is here to help out too, but she just had a baby.

Now, these kids are very used to having little babies around, but we've never had to deal with SO MUCH at once. They're good kids, but it seems like everyone needs to be around the baby at all times. She's a calm baby and doesn't really stir, we're just worried about the little colds and such they've picked up from daycare and elementary school (baby is only a few days old).

How did you tell your kids to back off? We're glad they have interest, but not sure how to control it.

I'm a young mother. I have 4 kids of my own and custody of my late aunt's daughter. I know I'm young, but I do just as much as any other of age mom out there, if not more sometimes...

When I meet someone at the store or whatever, the first question is how old I am and are those my babies. When I answer a lot of times I get some real nasty comments. I'm not exactly hurt by it, more annoyed. I honestly just want to know how you would react, just to get an idea on what the hell is going through their heads. :) Thanks!

As a mom of four kids, including a set of twins, I honestly don't make a big deal about taking everything that is given to me. What I don't use I pass on to a friend or take it to the daycare and put it in the closet for everyone. A lot of the time though, if I'm not the BIGGEST fan of the clothes, I just put it on them for around the house. I buy a lot of clothes for them, but I put it up when they outgrow for the younger ones.

I've met a few people that pretty much refuse to use hand-me-downed ANYTHING for their kids. Granted, a lot of them are new moms and just had their first or are pregnant with their first... so they don't really get how expensive it is to buy everything new... So how about you?

This is one of those things where you're kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't...

So, when I was 14, I was raped by this guy my mom said I was to "trust" yaddayaddayadda... we have a daughter. He's NOT on her birth certificate and has NO rights to her... to be honest, I don't think he knows she exists. My fiance is her legal father (papers went through last week, yay!) and now I have other kids by him.

Yesterday, I witnessed him with another (young) girl at the mall where I used to live. I know who she is because she's the nurse that helped take care of MY daughter's daughter. We became close and email eachother almost daily. I'm not sure if I should say anything to her? I don't normally tell people my daughter was a result of rape, I just don't see her that way, but I feel bad for the girl being with him and not knowing his past (me not being his only victim). He seemed clean to me (he was on all kinds of sh*t back in the day...), but I still can't stop thinking about it.

What would you do?

How old are they?

I'm only curious. I have two toddlers and twin baby girls. I normally just have the tv on PBS during the day. The only show they actually STOP and watch is Sesame Street. I never thought much of having it on until my friend came over with her daughter and asked me to turn it off because she only allows her two shows a day.

Alright, well we're getting our family pictures taken for the first time on Monday. I have four children of my own, and one little cousin to which I have legal custody of. I am engaged to the father of my kids and he loves little Juliette (the "cousin") like she's his own... However, he tells me that he doesn't know if he wants her in the picture.

We're getting a professional photo shoot of all the kids, including her... I thought it was just common sense that she would be in the picture for him, until he asked me why I bought her the matching outfit I bought my other daughters for the family picture. . . I'm not sure what to tell him? I mean, I take care of her JUST LIKE my other babies, and so does he. She's not legally adopted, but my aunt left her to me in her will, so she's mine. I want her in the picture. What can I tell him? Do you think he's right?
