  • Tonight has been a roommate nightmare. How should I deal with this in the morning?

I will try to keep this short and concise, but if it does turn out rather long, please read anyways because I can almost guarantee that you'll be entertained by how ridiculous my misfortunate night has been.

After coming home to my apartment after an already unfortunate night including a bike accident and several other incidents, I laid in bed to go to sleep. About a minute later my roommate (we share a bedroom) came home very drunk. He plopped down in bed and I figured he would be fine, as he does this fairly often.

Then, I wake up about 2 hours later with my roommate laying in my bed cuddling me. My head and torso are soaked with something (either water or vomit as far as I can tell). So I wake him up, ask how he's feeling, move him to his bed, fetch him a pot to vomit in and a tall glass of water, and then took everything off my bed and moved it to the washing machine.

Already I'm pretty upset, firstly because I was cuddled by my roommate in a pool of his own vomit, and secondly because I was now spending the night on the couch. Then I tried to turn on my phone, but it was damaged by the vomit/water and is now inoperable. Fantastic. But the night is not over.

I was sitting on the couch reading a book and I saw my roommate get up from his bed, walk over to my bed, pull down his pants, and piss all over it! I ran in to stop him but its was too late. I've never wanted to hit someone so badly before but I was able to restrain myself. Back to the top question

  • Should I leave my girlfriend?

I've been with her for over two years. We are both 2nd years at college. I'm a very nice guy, I've always treated her very well, but since the beginning of our relationship I've felt that she hasn't acted as kind towards me as I do to her.

An example: a couple weeks ago, she drank a little too much and started feeling sick. I stayed up with her at 2 in the morning for several hours, brought her water and crackers, and tried my best to make her feel better. Last night the same thing happened to me, and when I was really feeling sick all she did was tell me if I wasn't going to vomit then to stop bothering her by fidgeting. I took care of myself and slept on the couch and she just stayed in bed.

This situation is representative of the way a lot of things are in our relationship. I know I couldn't marry this girl.

On the other hand, there are times when she's loving and lets me know how much she cares about me, which means a lot to me being a person who is quite solitary and has had trouble connecting with other people. I almost feel that this fact is what's kept me with her so long.

Do I need to just bite the bullet and end it?

  • Found queen of spades playing card on my windshield. Does that mean something?

There's something written on it that looks like 'my' or 'ny' written in cursive with a black sharpie. I first noticed the card under the wipers on my car at in n out (fast food place) but there's a good chance it was there earlier. Any ideas what this is?

  • Should I sign "Love, (my name)" in my girlfriends yearbook?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 2 1/2 months now and neither of us have said "I love you" to one another. We're both on the shy side, I'm 17 she's 18, its both of our first relationship, and I've got a full page in her yearbook to sign. I've already written the note, which is sappy with a good amount of humor and inside jokes thrown in, but now I'm stuck. I don't know whether to sign just my name, or 'love, my name'...

The reason I'm hesitant isn't because I don't feel that strongly or anything like that, it's just that I'd be nervous using that word since we've both avoided it so far. But, if I just sign my name, that seems a little impersonal.

    What's your advice?

    Thanks!

  • What kind of thing to write in a flower card?

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up next week, and on the morning of her birthday I want to leave flowers on her doorstep for her to find when she wakes up.

The only part I'm having trouble with is what to write in the card in the flowers. I've never written a flower card before and also we've only been dating a month, so I figure its best to stay away from "I love you with all of my heart forever and always..." sort of thing. But I do really like this girl, so I want it to be something sweet that will make her smile.

Any tips or suggestions are hugely appreciated!

  • What to get my girlfriend for her birthday?

My girlfriend and I will have been dating for a month on her birthday next week, but we have been friends for 8 or so. I plan on getting her flowers and a nice card (of course) but as for a present I'm not sure what I should get her since its only been a month. Would a piece of jewelry be too much? Or would just flowers and a card be appropriate? Maybe bake her something on top of that?

Another idea I had was that since she has been getting into the red hot chilli peppers (band) and has been really interested in learning about the lead singer's past in her psych class, I could get her the singer's book, Scar Tissue. She loves reading and is going to Hawaii in a few weeks so she could read it on the beach.

But then again, a book about drug abuse and alcoholism isn't exactly the most romantic gift...

So what do you guys think?

    Thanks!

  • Easy recipes for a healthy treat to ask my girlfriend to prom with?

My girlfriend is a big health nut and loves eating all these weird vegetables. I'm gonna ask her to prom soon and instead of cookies like every guy does, I wanna give her a healthy treat with prom spelled on it. It has to be something I can carry around at school. (And keep in mind she loves heathy food, I'm not doing this as a hint to be heathier or anything haha)

So any recipes for some super heathy cookies or anything like that?

And I'm not much of a cook, but I can follow a recipe.

    Thanks for any ideas!!

  • Should I get her flowers and should I kiss her?

    Double question:

I'm asking a girl to be my girlfriend today. We're both seniors in high school and have been hanging out/ flirting for a while. She's coming over to my house today, along with her best friend and the friend's boyfriend, but the girl I'm asking will be here 30-60 minutes earlier. That's when I want to ask her.

When I ask her, do you think I should give her flowers? I was thinking of getting a single red rose.

Also, neither of us have kissed anyone before, do you think it would be okay if I kissed her if all goes well? We would be completely alone and I do have really strong feelings for her.

    Advice? Thanks!

  • Should I kiss this girl tomorrow?

We're both seniors in high school and we've been hanging out and flirting for about 3 weeks now. She knows I like her and I know she likes me but we haven't talked about it yet.

We haven't had too much 1 on 1 time together since she's had an exchange student the last 2 weeks, but tomorrow I'm going to get her alone for coffee after school and ask her to be my girlfriend. I'd really like to kiss her if all goes well, but do you think she might be uncomfortable having our first kiss in a public place? Would it be weird if I didn't kiss her tho?

    What do you think?

  • How to ask this girl to be my girlfriend?

We're both seniors in high school and we've been texting every day for 2 1/2 weeks, hanging out at school during lunch (in a group of friends), and I've had her over to my house along with another couple a few times in the last weeks. Her best friend who's also a close friend of mine said she talks about me all the time and she really likes me. I've heard this from a few people.

    Now here's the interesting parts:

    1. Neither of us have ever been in any kind of relationship before or had our first kiss.

    2. She has a foreign exchange student for another week and a half making it very difficult to get her alone.

    3. Junior Prom (which we get in free to) is weekend after next and id like to confess my feelings to her before asking her to that. (Because she was my homecoming date too but I want her to know its more serious now).

    4. She knows already that I like her and that I'm asking her to prom.

So, how should I bring this conversation up? What should I say to make it clear I want a relationship with this girl? I'm new at this so ANY advice is appreciated!

  • How to ask a girl to be your girlfriend?

Me and this girl have been texting every day for a few weeks and hanging out every few days. We're both seniors in high school and are leaving to college in 6 months, so I want to make the most of the time we have. I know that she likes me and I like her, but how should I go about making us boyfriend and girlfriend?

  • How to say I don't want to go hang out at this persons house?

Last week I made plans with three friends (one of them a girl who I'm sort of in the beginning stages of a relationship with) to come over to my house tonight for a movie and hot tub. Then this morning one of our other friends sent a mass text out that her parents are out of town and she wants to have people over. The girl who I like either didn't see it or didn't care, because she texted me this morning to ask what time to come over and said she'd bring a homemade pizza.

I texted one of the other friends I was having over and he said he thinks we should go to the girls house. I would much rather have a small group at my place and watch a movie with the girl I invited. What should I tell the guy? Or do you think I should just go to the bigger party? Advice?

  • How should I act at school around this girl?

Me and this girl are both high school seniors and neither of us have had a relationship before. We started texting over the break last week and flirting a little over texts. I had her over to my house along with her best friend and the friend's boyfriend for hottubbing and a movie. During the movie she fell asleep on my shoulder.

School started Monday and I would really like to start a relationship with this girl, but I don't know what steps to take. It's hard to get a minute alone with her since she's always with her best friend AND just got a Japanese exchange student who'll be living with her for the next 3 weeks.

At school when we talk we're always in a big group of our friends and we talk like we're just friends. I think (hope) that's just cause we're around a bunch of people and she's not comfortable flirting around them. After school everyday when she texts me it feels different. For example yesterday I made some joke about my dog hating me and she responded "Doubtful, what's there to hate? :)"

So bottom line is my delema is that I want to tell her straight up that I really like her, but I feel like that should be in person and its difficult to get her alone.

I am going to invite her, her exchange student, her friend, and the friends boyfriend over again for hot tub and movie. Her friend told me that she (the friend) wants to come, so I feel like this might be a good opprotunity? But what should I do in the meantime? I don't want her to think I'm not interested.

    What do you all think?

And really thank you to anyone who at least skimmed that wall of confused teenage emotion... Any help would mean a lot!

  • How to say no to a date politely (I'm a guy)?

A girl in one of my friend groups who's liked me for a long time asked me if I'd go see a movie with her. She asked while we were around a bunch of our friends, so to save both of us embarrassment I said something like yeah that'd be fun, but didn't set a time or anything. Probably wasn't a good move since I don't want to lead her on, but it was kinda unexpected.

Now, she's texting me asking if I'm still availible for a movie. And I really feel like I need to just tell her I see her as a friend, but I don't think texts are the way to do that. And I won't see her at school for a week.

So any suggestions? Obviously going on the date with her is not something I want to do.

  • Was this girl going to ask me to Sadies?

Im a senior in high school, and just a few minutes ago a girl texted me asking "hey just wondering what your plans for sadies were?"

I texted her telling her that I had been asked by so n so and that we were probably gonna go with a group from one of our classes. About 30 minutes late she responded "Okay just trying to figure out who's coming in our group"

Im pretty sure she hasn't asked anyone to it. Do you think she was gonna ask me if I hadn't been asked already?

  • Why don't people trust scientists on scientific issues anymore?

Global warming (or more accurately, climate change) is happening and is caused primarily by human activity

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on...

"In the judgment of most climate scientists, Earth’s warming in recent decades has been caused primarily by human activities that have increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere"

Also, being gay is most likely not a choice but rather biological.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology_and_sexual_or...

    AND Evolution.

Do we really need a source for this?

All of these are the widely accepted scientific consensus globally. Why do so many people trust news reporters' and radio show hosts' views on science sooo far above the views of ACTUAL scientists?
