Why is drinking sea water a bad idea?
Human blood has around a 1.08% salt concentration.
Urine has a maximum urine concentration of 2.2%.
Sea water has a salt concentration of around 0.9%.
While it would initially make you more thristy, I would imagine salt water would quench your thirst once your kidneys filter out the excess salt. So why is drinking salt water a bad idea when you're stranded on an island or ship? (concerning only salt concentration in sea water, in this scenario just consider the sea water to be distillate water with 1.08% salt concentration.)

Can someone tell me which factor is more important? the carbon dioxide which is released into the can when water is frozen, or the fact that water expands 9~10% when it turns into ice that causes the can to explode?
