I read something about creating an ad-hoc network, is there any other benefits? File transfer, etc? My iPhone is synced with my Windows PC for iTunes because i use my PC more often..

In my textbook it states unfair competition caused by cultural barriers aiding local firms. Can anyone elaborate on this, or care to explain what barriers it's talking about in particular? Could someone perhaps give an example of Cultural Dumping?
