Convergence question calculus?
why is -1/n divergent? my teacher said because it's the opposite of 1/n so it diverges but is there a test you can use to prove that -1/n is indeed divergent? Also, by the same logic, does that mean -1/n^2 is convergent unless there's a method to prove it. I'm just not sure how to prove if a function is convergent or divergent for negative functions that don't oscillate between negative and positive. Thanks

1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoOdd meter rhythm question?
I have a percussion piece for the timpani that starts out in 3/4 time but then makes a switch to 3/16. The notes in the 3/4 are all sixteenth notes and the 3/16 measure are 3 sixteenth notes. How would i count the 3/16 measure, transition from the 3/4 measure? Do i count the sixteenth notes in the 3/16 the same as the 3/4 ones? Thanks for the help!
