I remember little about this movie I believe it is at least 1980's if not older, it may have live action moments at the beginning or end or both, it has a kid and a talking dog, at one point they go to a place or land of sludge or ooze or somethin like that and the ooze sing a depressing song, they drive a car for a while in their adventure through a fictional world, at one point while the dog is tryin to get the car to start he tells the boy "think about birds that swim and fish that fly" I want to say it is regarded as a classic by critics as I believe I've seen it mentioned on TCM while they were referring to a director or writers body of work

I know that their was a recording discovered not long ago of Woody singing This Land is Your Land, with all the verses including the 2 that are usually left out. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Any movie along these lines: Little Ceaser (1930), (The Public Enemy (1931) Smart Money (1931), Scarface (1932), The Roaring Twenties (1939), Menace II Society, Blood in Blood Out, Belly, Scarface, Deep Cover, Tales From The Hood- these are just some of my favorites
