  • Co-worker hosting bridal shower - who to invite?

A co-worker & close friend (also a wedding guest) told me today she is planning a "bridal shower luncheon" for me. There are a few other co-workers (also close friends & wedding guests) who are going to attend (possibly host/share costs with her - I'm not sure). This "shower" is a total surprise to me so when she asked if there was anyone else to invite, I deferred to what I thought was proper: to only invite those who are invited to the wedding. But now I'm wondering, will other co-workers who I am friendly with (but who aren't invited due to our small wedding) be disappointed or hurt that they aren't invited? I'm just wondering how everyone else would feel. Should I just err on the side of caution & stick with the 6 women invited to the wedding? Or should I ask her to extend the invite to others that are not invited to the wedding? Also, my question isn't about gifts. I'm assuming the lunch together is the gift (just to avoid any nasty answers about me being greedy!) Thanks!
