  • What is the name of this old country song?

When I was a little girl my dad used to play old western songs like Marty Robbins' "El Paso" (how I love that song)

I've been searching for a while and can't find the name of another song that really stuck with me when I was younger.

I don't know the title or any lyrics or who sang or wrote the song but I remember it was a story about a girl that kept a red ribbon in her (dark?) hair and the cowboy, I believe the one telling the story in the song, fell in love with her.

There may be a part where the girl with the red ribbon in her hair rides off on a horse but I don't remember. The last time I heard this song was at least 16 years ago (I would've been 4 the last time I heard it)

I've been searching for hours but the only success I've had is my reunion with Robbins' "El Paso".

The story told in the song may have taken place in the middle of a war or something, but I could be wrong.

    Thanks.

  • How long can I wait to dye my hair again?

I have naturally dark brown, long hair. Last night I dyed it light intense auburn R3 by Garnier and I love the color but unfortunately I was so tired when I dyed it that I decided not to use the second box I bought to put in my long hair (also because I was sure I got all my hair) and I now have some thick strands of hair that did not get the dye. So instead of being full red like I wanted I have brown hair showing through. I know it's not healthy for my dead hair to dye it again and I know I should wait at least a week at the minimum but I really don't want to go the next few days with it looking spotty like this. Even if I deep, deep, deep condition my hair every day should I just not do it and wait the week out? I don't like the way my natural color creeps through the dye. And I'm sure the color won't be the same as it is now if I dye it again, which I'm fine with, but is it a terribly bad idea to dye it say tonight or tomorrow? I know, I know, terrible idea. But is it really?

  • I'm still under my father's phone contract. Can I buy myself a new phone?

I am 20 and still have my phone under my dad's contract through Verizon. It has been a 1.5 years since we bought my current phone when I was 18 and it's starting to break on me. My dad is distant most of the time and too busy to really help me out with this. My name is in the contract and we made it so that I can go into the store in case I have any problems with my phone (we share the password to the account), so as the sales associates don't need my dad's permission for anything first.

I'm closing to desperate for a new phone but like I said I don't think my dad can really make time to come with me to buy a new one.

I have the money all I need to know is if I can go in the store myself and buy a new phone under his contract or does he need to be present in order for that to happen?

  • Dealing with an ex. I don't know what to do.?

Please bear with me this is really long I know but I'm nearly lost.

In high school I dated a guy for 6 months. We spent almost every day together, maybe too much, and we fell in love. Since then we've always had an awkward relationship, which is normal of course for two ex's, except that he's very good friends with all of his other ex's, but not me. He said I was the first one he truly loved and from the way things ended (and his tears) I believed him. After we broke up we didn't talk for months until I told him I'd had enough of his acting all tough whenever he'd see me. After we talked we talked more and felt a little more comfortable around each other again. We had a few classes together senior year, a year after we'd broken up, and I would almost always catch him watching me. A few of those times we locked eyes and he smiled at me. It was clear he still had feelings for me, he'd even flirt often with me. There was even a dance that we sat together at and shared one dance close to each other and I could sense some kind of joy in his eyes. That night he invited me to hang out and called me to make plans that never fell through.

Well, that was all two-three years ago and we haven't seen each other since the last day of senior year. We still live in the same city and have been friends on facebook for years and have both had short lived relationships since. But recently I posted a witty photo saying "On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...nothing because I'm single." It's funny, right?

I've been thinking about my ex a lot and have been wanting to see how he's been doing lately. We sometimes text each other to catch up again. But whenever we text he always seems uninterested to talk which I can expect since when we used to text after we broke up I'd interrogate him about what happened (very dumb idea, I know, but I was still hurt by it and I wanted to understand). So normally I don't like to text him even though he's always welcomed it. Like when I was about to have a surgical procedure he told me to text him when I was recovering, I never did though.

The last year or so he's seemed to be pretty quiet on fb and I figured he doesn't really go on until he commented on the photo. I found irony in the fact that a guy would comment on a picture posted by his ex about being single so it's really been getting to me I guess. Suddenly, all these old feelings are rushing back to me.

I have this horrible urge to get a hold of him and tell him how I feel. Though I know I won't but even still I want to text him and catch up. I can't help but feel that he may still have some feelings no matter how small. This sounds ridiculous as I type this but I want to see him and talk one on one just to see his face. Somehow I can't believe he ever really let me go.

But I may just be living in a fairy tale. I just feel so confused and I'm sure it's because of all these emotions but they're so strong that I'm afraid I'll make a dumb move like texting him. I guess I'm always afraid I annoy him when I do.

I know he has moved on and I have too, but I didn't think it'd all come back to me so easily.

What should I do? Leave it alone right?

    Thanks for reading.

  • Guys! Men! Do tell: What do you want your lady to do with you in bed?

My boyfriend is leaving for boot camp and I only have few months to 'WOW' him in the sack. We've been intimate for 8 months already, and don't get me wrong, each time is VERY sensual, but I want to heat things up a little before he goes.

What are some subtle but really crucial things I can do for him while we knock boots to really get him going?

I would be asking him but I want to surprise him. What really gets you hot and heavy before, during and after sex? What's something you really wish your woman would do to you?

    Much appreciated (:

  • All Navy wives or officers or those that love "love stories"...Please help!?

So, my story is really long and complicated so I'll try my best to shorten it as much as possible. Please, be patient :)

Seven years ago I met a thirteen year old boy. All the girls were crazy about him but he never actually caught my eye until high school. We are both graduated and in college and have been "involved" for a year. I tried to fight every feeling I had for him but it never felt right. A year later and I've fallen far deep in love with him. A couple of months ago he told me he was moving to another state. A month later he finally admitted his feelings for me and that he hasn't felt that way in a very long time and he would want a relationship if it weren't for not having time to spend together. That same night he told me he was planning on joining the Navy, which is great but only hurt me even more knowing that I might not even get a chance to visit him when he moves.

Just this week he tells me that he isn't going to move after all but is going straight to the Navy. He'll be enlisting in a few weeks and from there it's the waiting game.

I am madly in love with him and I'm happy that he has his life figured out and that he's choosing to go into such a respectable branch, however, I'm dying inside because I'm so afraid that I'm going to lose him from my life. I originally really wanted to talk to him about a long distance relationship which was already a wild idea and difficult for me to try and do, but now that he's going straight to the Navy I don't know what to do.

He's not the kind of person to tell a girl he really likes her unless he really, really likes her.

He's like a bear with a really gentle heart. He can hide his feelings well, but when he feels them he feels them hit hard. At least that's the person I see.

I really don't want to lose him and my only desire is to be by his side as he's far away in training.

But I have no idea how to talk to him about this or, even more so, if I even should.

Naturally I have all these doubts in my head like: What if he doesn't want to be in a relationship when he's out there, or, What if he ends up shutting me out when the time comes for him to ship out to bootcamp? And what if he doesn't want it?

I think maybe I should let him go and let him live his life but I love him and I can see him falling for me and I feel like it would be wrong to let him go without at least bringing a relationship up and telling him exactly how I feel.

I know it would be one of the most difficult things we could do especially for me but I believe we could make it through all the struggles that I don't even know of yet that come with a military relationship. I just feel like I'd be losing my life's purpose if I let him go only for him to forget me.

If I could at least stay in touch with him with letters; it just doesn't feel right in my gut to let him out of my life.

So my question is: How do I tell him that I want to be by his side through this, that I want to be the one outside his family to bring him happiness when he's feeling anxious?

I know that it'd be difficult and I know that it could end terribly but I feel that if I don't try then I'll regret it til my dying day, even if my life without him was a great one.

So if any of the Navy wives or girlfriends out there have any thoughts then please share them.

I don't want to be selfish and say that I need him in my life but I honestly believe we need each other in our lives.

I really appreciate your patience in reading this and any answers you may have.

    Thank you!

  • Could I be pregnant and when should I take the test?

I had sex about two weeks ago. I am now 6 days late for my period. Today there was a little bit of blood but it was more of a brownish/red color than usual. I had no period cramps which is VERY unusual for me. I'm also pretty positive the bleeding won't last very long. I'm not under any kind of great stress at least that I can identify so I don't believe that could be the problem. I haven't taken a home pregnancy test yet and wasn't planning on taking on until this weekend. What else might cause a late period and when I do take the home test, when would be the best time for me to take it?

    Thanks =)

  • Does he like me or am I imagining all these "signs"?

I've been in this "non-relationship" relationship for a while. Technically it's called friends with benefits but even before we engaged in this relationship it's seemed he's had interest in me. We went to high school together and have known eachother for about 6-7 years. I've known he finds me attractive, there's no doubt about that. For about a year we've been talking and about 3 months ago was our first sexual encounter.

Problem with this is that I like him a lot but he "doesn't want a relationship". But it seems to me like there may be feelings there for me but he won't admit anything. This entire time he's never once hinted any kind of feeling for me; not that he likes me nor dislikes me. Here's why I feel he may like me:

    1. Because he won't say either way how he feels about me

    2. He will admit I'm beautiful and cute

    3. He's always very gentle with me and never does things he might even sense I'm uncomfortable with

    4. He's asked if I have any plans to leave town eventually

    5. He talks about us doing things besides just sex like viewing Christmas lights

    6. Last time we were together he seemed different i.e. he smiled when he looked at me more and at one point we locked eyes longer than usual and it was like I could see something happening in him (maybe that's just me Idk)

    And the best one yet

    7. He was joking around saying he has a daughter and then said she was "right here" placing his finger on my stomach. A few moments later he said "That would be crazy. What would you do if you got pregnant by me?" After we both took our time to answer he really seemed to ponder and finally said, "It would be a beautiful baby, though." Like he was really thinking about it which makes me wonder if he has before. If he's thought of me.

Maybe this is silly but I wonder if maybe they do mean he likes me more than what he leads on. When he dropped me off at home he was really quiet and it kind of ended weird tho which makes me wonder. What do you think?

  • How you pronounce this in Irish Gaelic?

I believe "Duine Diongbháilte" translates directly to "strong person" in English, correct me if I'm wrong (please!)

I was wondering what the pronunciation of Duine Diongbháilte (or correct form for "strong one"/"strong person") is.

I heard "duine" pronounced as di(eh)nna but what about the second part?

Also, (if you don't mind) how do you say, with pronunciation, "bean", or if possible, "jelly bean" in Irish Gaelic?

    Thanks =)

  • How does financial aid work if I move to another state? ?

I live in Arizona and I have a great opportunity to move to Hawaii for a year and attend school in Kailua Kona. However, I'm poor as could possibly be and the only reason I'm able to attend community college in AZ is because of financial aid. I would be staying with my uncle for the year and of course I would get a job. So housing and food isn't too big of an issue. However, I'm wondering if I moved down there would I be able to attend school imediately or do I have to wait a year to establish residency before I can be eligible for financial aid in Hawaii? I know it's really expensive to live down there and I'm aware it would still cost me if I had financial aid. If anyone could help me understand this better that would be great. This is a great opportunity for me and I would like to know the situation before I make a set decision.

    Thanks =)

  • What might be the cause of this happening?

For over a year, I've been experiencing this strange thing with my right hip where it makes a popping noise if I stretch it out.

I used to dance in high school but after some unrelated health problems I had to slow down and haven't really gotten back to excercising.

This happens mostly when I'm laying in bed and I move my right thigh and knee up to my chest while my left leg is extended. It doesn't hurt at all in fact I can't even feel anything. It just simply pops.

It sounds as though the pop is coming from my pelvic bone where my leg meets my hip (excuse my lack of medical terms) right there in that joint. I did a little bit of research and found Snapping Hip syndrome but it doesn't seem to fit.

I am thin built (I don't know if that makes any difference). I was bucked off my horse about two years ago but I landed on the left side of my body so I'm not sure that could be the cause. Besides that I can't think of any other injuries to my hips.

So if anyone knows what might be causing this popping sound and if you think it might be serious (I'll be getting it checked put eventually) I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks! =)

  • Guys, what's going on in your minds?

Scenario: You've known this girl for 4 years. She's your friend and you know you can joke with her. After you graduated high school you start texting her. You pick her up and get out of your car to give her a hug. The two of you watch tv at your place, take a quick walk huddled under one blanket and kiss her once on your balcony. You ask her how long you'd have to date her to sleep with her, generally of course (you are friends so you joke even though you are serious). You drop her off home and get out of your car to give her a hug. For the next 7 months you text her at least every other month, a couple of days at a time. Each time you ask her what she's doing and if she wants to hang out. Sometimes she says she can't and other times she says she can but you never text her back and you never get to see eachother. Mostly you seem to be after just sex. Finally, you text her and she wants to see you, as she always does, but again for some reason you stop texting her just randomly in the middle of the conversation, as you often do. But this time she texts you back with your name and extra exclamation points. She asks if you want to see her or not because tonight's the night. You pick her up (with a hug) and take her to your place. There you finally get what you've been asking for for all those months. Even though you have to be somewhere you lay there with her and talk then go in for round two. You take your time. There you tell her you haven't slept with anyone in a little over a year. A few days earlier she tells you she likes you and couldn't handle a one night stand with you. You made a sarcastic remark that you've been trying for so long with her because you want a one night stand and you say that you don't do one night stands. While your laying down with her you tell her you haven't slept with anyone in over a year because you're picky; you like girls with a sense of humor but you say she doesn't have that "ideal" sense of humor...jokingly? You take her home and..

  • What might a white dragonfly/scorpion mean?

I had a strange dream where I was sitting on my bed and I heard this buzzing. I thought it was a fly but when it flew by me it was this big white flash. It landed on my door and I could clearly see it was a white dragonfly with the claws of a scorpion and it's abdomen curled like a scorpions tail but only for a moment until it crawled out of my room, out of sight; then I woke. I remember feeling awe when I saw it. I wasn't scared but I was filled with amazement I guess you could say.

What could that mean? And what might the white dragonfly/scorpion symbolize?

  • Is this love or am I just infatuated?

I've known this guy for a long time and I always found him cute, as did all my friends, but I don't believe I ever liked him the way some girls did. About four years passed and I started finding myself attracted to him as a person. His looks were always there but his personality just struck me. After he graduated high school we stayed in touch (once every other month). We hung out once since then. Now we're both in college and since we hung out last I seem to almost always think about him, almost miss him. Every two months he gets ahold of me and we try to get together but nothing ever sticks. Recently I've really been trying to see him just as he's really been trying to see me. He seems to really want to but it never works out. I get irritated with him a lot and tell him constantly (jokingly and seriously) how much he drives me crazy (usually he's the reason we never hang out). I know he doesn't feel the same way I do but sometimes I feel like he does but he's too much of a "man" to admit it. I'm determined to tell him next time we speak that I like him and that this whole "game" we're playing isn't working for me. But my feelings for him are just too strange for me to recognize. I love talking to him, he makes me feel amazing and happy, but at the same time I want to ring his guts and I'm not afraid to admit that to him unlike most people I wouldn't even dare telling them that. I'm confident around him unlike most other guys I know, especially the ones I'm good friends with. I feel absolutely free to be myself with him which I've never felt with anyone. I just want to know if it's some basis of love or if I'm just strangely infatuated (and angry) with him.

I'm not expecting a relationship with him in fact in all honesty I'm hoping to cut off all contact with him because sometimes it hurts when he says one thing but does another. I have all intentions to tell him what I feel. I just want to identify what I feel now so I know what to exterminate. Thanks!

  • C-37 law Canadian Citizenship?

So I was surfing the web, reading Dwayne Johnson's biography when I came across the "One Generation Abroad" rule. This law states that any first generation abroad child, born to at least one Canadian citizen, gains automatic citizenship. Or at least I think it does.

Here's the deal: my father was born in London, Ontario in 1955. His family moved to California when he was 10, 12 years old. In 1970-something my half sister was born. Then in 1992, (in California) I was born. My dad maintained Canadian Citizenship and here we are.

Questions: under this law, enforced in 2009, would I automatically have the right to claim Canadian Citizenship?

Because my half sister was born 2 decades before me does that stop me from claiming citizenship, or as children of a Canadian could we both be granted citizenship?

And finally, just for the-fun-of-saying-it; if it's true that I can claim citizenship; can I consider myself a Canadian Citizen or do I have to go through all that paperwork? (Even though I know the answer I'd still like to think I can start telling people I have citizenship to Canada and not have to lie about it.)

    Thanks bunches =)

  • 2 part question. Would a guy check out a girls Facebook profile even if he knows her?

There's this guy I grew up with and I always had the biggest crush on him. Now that I'm older and think about it I'm pretty sure he was diggin me too. Anyways, I've known he's been on Facebook for at long time and I've just ignored him in the "people you may know" section. Not because I don't want to request him, I'm just scared to. See, we never talked much when we were kids and in middle school things got awkward between us. We always had mutual friends and we hung out a lot with them together but because I liked him so much I never really knew how to be his friend. Now we're both in college and regardless of how mature I should be about this whole thing I've been wondering:

If I request him and he accepts will he look at my profile, pics, etc. even though we haven't spoken in years?

    And...

Should I even request him to begin with? It's not that I'm trying to be a stalker and will look at his page endlessly (I actually plan on viewing his profile once and forgetting about it) but I wonder sometimes if he's seen that I'm on Facebook and just didn't want to request me. I guess I'm really afraid of what he'll think. I know it sounds like I'm still crushing on the child but I really would like to say 'hi' one of these days. Should I request him or leave it be?

    Thanks :)

  • How do you cut this hairstyle?

I think it's called a feather cut the hair nearest your face is layered to frame your face...idk how else to describe it. I want to cut my hair straight with no layers in the body but I would like the layered feather look framing my face. No farah fawcett style but like jennifer aniston. Whats the name of that cut and how can I cut it myself.

I've cut my hair before and did quite a beautiful job if I do say so, so I know what I'm doing. How exactly, with directions, do you cut just the front hair part for this style?
