  • financial aid problems!?

Okay please someone help me, the school gave my Wife a small student loan for the summer, we planned around this. So, naturally, it was all spent. Two weeks later, the school says " You did not meet the academic guidelines" or w/e. Which is bull, she has straight A's, the only reason they could say that is too many credit hours. My question is, shouldn't this be illegal? If we could pay it back we wouldn't have borrowed it! Not only that, they want all of it immediately. Should we hire a lawyer? Or did we simply not read some fine print. All they tell us is " You should have known you weren't eligible in the first place". Sounds to me like they should have known that, not me.
