I'm planning to invite numerous family and friends to a get together at a local pub/restaurant for my wife's birthday (surprise). I could have anywhere from 20-40 people there and don't intend on providing food or drinks...other than maybe a few appetizer platters, or something...not sure yet. I've been to parties/get-togethers like this before and it's always been fun. Question: how do I word the invitation (Evite) so that it's clear the attendees are responsible for their own food and drinks?

A friend of mine said she heard a few Michael Jackson covers at a cafe recently but didn't know the artist who covered them. It was the same artist and she sang the songs in a somewhat sultry voice and the songs were slowed down quite a bit. Two of the songs that she remembers hearing were "Beat It" and "Wanna Be Starting Something." Any ideas or suggestions?

A friend of mine remembers this book about a girl who picks strawberries for guests who stay at her family's inn located somewhere in the Alps. She read it in 4th grade in 1968 and doesn't remember much more than that...except that the story is not "Heidi." Any ideas?
