In the old Yahoo Groups, I had the option of choosing whether to publicly reply on-list or to privately email the author off-list. How do I do the latter under the new Yahoo Groups?

I haven't sewn since my jr high home ec class back almost 20 years ago but I just took the plunge and bought a sewing machine. I want to try my hand at making an A-line skirt as my first project.

I've got an hourglass figure and my measurements place me 2 sizes bigger at the hips than the waist. Which line should I follow when marking my fabric? Can I use the smaller waist and then the bigger sides by tracing them one at a time, picking up the pattern & re-pinning in between?

I want to make a chicken stew recipe that calls for lima beans. I don't have any lima beans on hand but I do have cannelini and Great Northern beans. Which would make the best substitute?

Assuming that the Sox don't blow it in the next 5 innings, it looks like there will be a winner-take-all game 7 tomorrow. So who do you think will advance to the World Series?

Dice-K has really struggled in this post-season but they've got Wakefield, Lester, and potentially even Beckett as relievers. Also the addition of Ellsbury seems to have shaken the bottom of the Sox lineup out of their slump.

I think it'll be a tough game but the Sox just may pull it off like they did in '04.

I'm a 3rd generation Red Sox fan and my daughter is a 4th generation. When she was not quite 2, my brother taught her to say "Yankee tink, go Wed Sox!" :-)

I noticed while watching the Red Sox-Angels game tonight that shortstop Orlando Cabrera's batting helmet is black. It almost looks like it's been burned. What's up with that?
