Setting up a 54 litre fish tank?
Hi guys!
Got a fish tank for my xmas present :) it came with a heater and filter etc etc just got to go buy the fish, yay! Of course I'm going to get the tank set up and not buy the fish til next week but wondering how many fish I can get and what types of fish mix well?
I don't want to be in a situation of buying fish only to have them eat each other!
4 AnswersFish1 decade agoHelp! My dog was given a wormer 11 hours ago, he's just vomited?
Whats the chances he brought up the wormer? do I need to redose him? Is it a side effect? I'm going to monitor him and book him into the vet tomorrow if he's still unwell.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoMy dog was attacked by a husky. Can I sue?
I was out giving my Mr Whippet his usual walk he was on the lead and the husky was loose. The husky came bounding up to us ball in his mouth, he dropped the ball in front of me and my whippet picked it up it was then the husky jumped on top of my whippet (it seems he was ball possessive). It was then the owner started running up to me (who was about50 odd metres away) i had the forethought to get the owners details before I ran with my dog to the car to run him to the vet. My whippet has been to the vet, had surgery (the husky grabbed him by the throat and ripped the skin, 15 stitches) £425 later I'm so glad I have insurance but the husky's owner is refusing to pay the excess of £120, as he says I should have had better control over MY dog. How was I to know his dog was nuts! Can I sue the bastard?
14 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat is my Whippets eye problem?
Hi all
My year old whippet, Cofte, had a string of green snot like substance stuck in the fur just under his eye. He's normally really good at cleaning his own sleep dust from his eye. I was just wondering what it was. I will take him to the vet tomorrow if it happens again tomorrow morning. He is healthy otherwise, as active as he usually is and is not off his food. He is showing any real signs of distress but will very occasionally rub his eye.
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoCan you be a parent and a friend?
My friend and I are having a bit of a parenting argument. She see's herself as her child's friend but has a hard time saying no because she doesn't want to lose that friendship. I don't have kids yet and she has taken my suggestion that she needs to be a little stricter badly. I just remember my own relationship with my parents, I loved them, I respected them, they weren't my friends, they were my parents. They kept me on the straight and narrow and made sure that I did what I had too. They had absolutely no problem saying no but would listen to my viewpoints and allowed me to make my argument.
14 AnswersParenting1 decade agoHow young is too young to get a male dog neutered?
My youngest dog is 9 months and I have two vets arguing whether or not to neuter him, one wants to wait until he is 3years old and the other will do him in a week. I'm only asking but this is my first non-rescue dog and the RSPCA always neuters before they let you take the dog home.
