I'm not a girl even though my avatar is. It's a bit misleading.

  • Professional Certificate from a University/College.?

    A quick background:

I was a pre med major for 4 of my 5 yrs with my main major being in engineering. After taking the MCAT and all the prep classes (did well on it), I realized that it might not be the thing for me. I switched gears during my 5th and final year and had more of a focus in the environmental area of engineering (which is what I was focused in when I started college).

Now after taking some time off I've realized that I would like to continue pursuing that field with some added education. I'm not 100% sold on a master's program yet so I thought that I would do a professional certificate program and if all goes well then transfer my credits into a masters program.

My question to you all is do you think that obtaining a graduate certificate is a cerditable advance in education from an employer's view point? Also, is it feasable to acknowledge such a certificate as being a step ahead of other canidate?

I want to make sure I'm not over emphasizing this.

  • Wireless Networking Card Won't Work!!!?

My laptop has wireless network on it. A week ago I was at a local resturant using their wireless internet and my internet just stopped working,. I tried repeatably to reconnet and got nowhere. When I got home and tried to connect to my wirelss I wasn't able to connect nor did it read and pick up any wireless networks in the. Before it used to have 4 or 5 secured and unsecured networks show up. I connected the DSL networking cable into the laptop and it works fine. I dont know if there's a way to reset the wireless network or what. It says the wireless is enabled so I'm not sure what to do next.

Any suggestions on how to get my wireless working again?

    Thanks.

  • Little Johnny?

A few months after his parents were divorced, Little Johnny passed by his mom's bedroom and saw her rubbing her body and moaning, "I need a man, I need a man!"

Over the next couple of months, he saw her doing this several times.

One day, he came home from school and heard her moaning. When he peeked into her bedroom, he saw a man on top of her.

Little Johnny ran into his room, took off his clothes, threw himself on his bed, started stroking himself, and moaning, "Ohhhhh, I need a bike! I need a bike!"

  • Joke of the day?

There was this soldier and general who were in the forest to teach the private the theory of camouflage. The general says "Ok soldier. The main thing you must know about combat is camouflage. What you want to do is blend in with your surroundings to full the enemy upon attack. I'm going to go have lunch and then I will be back. I want you to camouflage yourself in this area by the time I return."

The general goes off to have lunch then returns. Upon returning he sees this tree shaking. The general says "one important thing about camouflage is you dont want to move while you're hiding."

The soldier jumps out from hiding and says to the general "I know sir. As I was in hideout a bird landed on me and started pecking me in the head. I can take that. Later, a snake crawled across my foot and bit me in the leg. I can take that. But when 2 chipmunks crawl up my pants and say to one another "let's eat one now and save one for later!" I just couldn't take it."

  • How Long should I wait for an offer?

I had a phone interview and a personal interview with the president of the compnay. This is a small company so I know that he is pulling multiple duties, especially know that the weather it getting better outside. My confusion is he has sent me an email saying that he would give me an offer the next week, then sends an email that week saying it'll be a little longer. It has been a few weeks and he still emails me telling me that the offer is coming and that he needs just a little more time. He assures me that he will send something as soon as he's done with a new start up company he's working on. My question is how long should I allow this to continue before I consider this void? It just confuses me that when let it go I suprisingly get an email from him "touching basis".

    Thanks,

    Kev
