Yahoo news comments.?
Now someone has copied my avatar and user name.
His/her comments always involve"my" confessions of offensive sexual acts.
If I block him what happens?
Can others see his replies or just me?
He has other accounts but not in my name.
1 AnswerYouTube1 year agoCan you solve a simple problem? How far away from the corner of the wall & floor is the top of the ladder?
A ladder is leaning against a wall. The wall and the ground are at right angles. The ladder is 10 metres long. A square box of side of 2 metres is hard up against the wall and floor. The ladder touches the wall, floor, and the corner of the box.
Obviously two solutions exist
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoSuicide rate: Which 3 countries in Europe have the highest suicide rates; then which 3 countries in the world?
Please DO NOT look up this data in Wiki or Google. I could do that myself. I want your first reaction or best guess. Please help with this bit of research.
Try and put them in order.

16 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoIn English we have the word peanut. What other languages call them nuts when in fact they're legumes?
The peanut, or (Arachis hypogaea), is a species in the legume family. The word peanut leads to the mistaken belief that they are nuts. They are NOT nuts.
In food preparation, machinery et al can become contaminated with real nuts (pistachio, brazil, etc. This is why the warning “may contain nuts” is on peanut products. Someone with a nut allergy but not to peanuts could suffer and even die.
I was too late in Yahoo Questions to engage in the discussion on silly warnings, all the peanut “may contain nuts” related ones I read were sadly misguided.
12 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhere &how did the myth of highest suicide rate in the world in Sweden arise? I'm sure it's never been true.
I was born & raised in Southern Ontario and I heard this in the late 50s. We came to the UK in 1964 where this same statistic was current. In the 1970s even the Swedes quoted this gem. I became apparent in the 1980s that the story was false (much like lemmings). As late as 2002 the US ambassador used this on a BBC Radio 4 debate to denigrate the Swedish “Social Democrat Experiment”. He rightly received howls of derision.
I don't think it's ever been true but I can only find stats back to 1997.
8 AnswersOther - Social Science1 decade agoWhen, how & where did the myth that US & UK were major arms suppliers to Iraq gain credance?
The US sold some dual use helicopters to Iraq. At best they could have been used as air ambulances. The then Warsaw Pact sold T82, T72 tanks & loads more bits that kill & go bang. The French sold Roland radar defences & Mirage planes. Look at the footage from the |Iran/Iraq war, the first Gulf war & the 2003 intervention. Then check Janes Big Guns or whatever. See Wiki for more details. Chinese Silkworm, SCUD, missiles;the list goes on. The US sold or gave arms to many tyrants, this just was not one of them.
The Russians & French have still not been paid. My Russian, French & Iraqi friends are aware of the origins of the arms. Where & how did the story change?
