How earthquake resistance are power line?
Recently we bought a house, and standing right behind our house is a giant power line. And since we live in Sacramento, California you can probably understand my concern. Here's a picture of what this power line looks like, and it's very very similar to this

I take my laptop to just about every room in the house, and I noticed that I tend to lose connection whenever I'm 20-30 feet away. My wireless router firmware is up to date. I'm not sure if the modem can be updated.
