I'm 33 and like it. Politics are a huge passion of mine. I do think most politicians are crooked and too far removed from the average jane to be able to understand what we go through. Conversely, I think the founding fathers set up our government in a manner that is nothing less than brilliant. I vote, I campaign, I hate the Republican party. One of my favorite quotes is "A gay republican is like a vegetarian butcher". I love to road trip, especially if music is involved. I'll drive and drive to see the Indigo Girls or Amy Ray or Jen Foster or anyone that sparks my interest. I came out as a lesbian after being married for 12 years. I was shocked by the drama that comes with the territory but I'm very proud to be gay. It's been interesting, having lived on "both sides of the fence". I'm shocked that most people find me and my girlfriend a serious threat to the nation. Pfffft. I'm a Scorpio and very proud of it.

  • How do I tell my boss I'm quitting?

    I work at this amazing independent bookstore. I've been here for 14 months and I absolutely love my job. They know I'm gay, have no problem with that at all and we are all like family. The only drawback is that I don't make enough money to pay my bills. I just got a small raise but it still isn't enough. There is also almost no room for any kind of growth here. After years of applying, I've finally been offered a job at the university in town. My pay is going up dramatically, I can go back to school for free, the benefits are amazing, I'll get 2 weeks paid vacation at Christmas...it goes on and on. I'm just struggling with the fact that I have to tell my boss tomorrow (whom I ADORE) that I'm leaving in two weeks. Christmas is our busiest time and my job is very specialized. I feel like a traitor even though I know this is a great opportunity for me to improve my and my family's life. Any advice?

  • Sweltering hot...A/C quit in 2002 Ford Explorer. Ideas?

    I was driving down the road blasting ice cold air when all of a sudden the air quit blowing cold. It went from working great to blowing hot air in seconds. Any ideas as to what it could have caused that? I'm burning up now (live in Mississippi of all places) and it refuses to work.
