Fell on landlords property and hurt my back bad. Wanting to keep living there and keep peace with landlord, I didn't do anything about it. Injury turned out to be much worse than I originally thought. Was laid up unable to walk for 3 months then barely able to walk on crutches for a couple of months. Now 3 years later still living there and have recurring problems with my back preventing me from working full time. When injury 1st happened I mentioned homeowners ins and landlord turned and walked away. I didn't do anything originally because at the time my wife and son were living here with me and although they were working they weren't making much money. Trying to see doctors landlord told us he thought my son and wife should pay for doctor trips. Is it to late or is there anything I can do legally now? Thanks.

If you lost your job, and couldn't find similar work that provided the same insurance you had. How long could you afford to pay for your own insurance. Keep in mind for a lot of people this would cost anywhere from $500 to $1000 a month. And if you had a pre existing condition that might prevent you from getting any coverage, at least untill you went back to work. Could you afford this?

How do you back out of your driveway, run over a fire hydrant, and keep going till you hit a neighbors tree? Sounds kinda odd. Sleep walking? Prescriptions? Illness or fatigue might have caused him to black out behind the wheel, maybe. Bet we never find out.
