I was arrested for possession of hash oil as a minor but my court date is after I turn 18 I'm in California and it's a class D felony. Will I be tried as an adult and will I go to prison if I'm convicted? And will it be on the state or federal level?

So today me and my friends were smoking weed by this creek when some guy called the cops. I'm 17 and I had about a gram of weed and a half gram of hash oil and a Bong in my backpack but my friend who is 18 was wearing the backpack when the cops came and being a loyal friend he said everything was his. He is legally an adult and now is being charged with possession of concentrated thc which is a felony. Everything in that backpack was mine and I want to be the one to take the blame not him. Is there anything I can do? I don't know who to talk to because my friend is in jail.. I'm in California
