Birth control side effects?
To all young women who are on birth control,
I would just like to encourage you before getting on birth control to please get a blood test and such to make sure that your body can handle the extra hormones. I was admitted to the hospital Saturday and into the ICU (I finally got out) with a massive blood clot in the major artery of my lung. What caused it? Yaz, the birth control that I was on. This thing could have killed me.
Women on birth control, do you ever think this could happen to you? I never did. I'm healthy, never had side effects to anything, and now it is all I can do to shuffle back and forth to the bathroom.
How does this make women feel who are on birth control?

But eighth graders who smoke are going down. This is the first time in 15 years the teenage birth rates have gone up, and the first time in 12 years that teenage homicides have gone up.
Not attacking teenage mothers or anyone else, just sharing some information...
...but what do you think has contributed to this rise?

6 AnswersAdolescent1 decade agoA child can take a parent to court?
I just found a news story that is about a 12 year old girl in Canada who took her father to court because he punished her. The punishment? She couldn't go on a 3 day field trip to celebrate her final year of elementary school.
The girl's parents are divorced; the girl was punished because she had an argument with her father. The girl went to her mother's house, took her father to court, and went on the trip anyway. The court ruled that the father had no right to ban his daughter from going on the trip.
Thoughts?
