  • Are there any extended car warranties that include diagnostic services?

    I am *considering* getting an extended warranty for my car, but it seems like most do not cover the cost of the mechanic figuring out what the actual problem is, which can be pretty expensive. Are there any out there that will cover these diagnostic services?

  • Does the location of a gene matter?

    Let us say that we know the gene "for" eye color is at position X (though I am aware that in reality there is no single gene "for" this trait). This gene is a sequence of something (nucleotides I think?); let's say the sequence for blue eyes is GGTACT. If that sequence were on some other chromosome, would it have the same effect, or does the effect of a gene also depend on where the gene is located?
