  • Italian sayings?

My family is Sicilian, so my Nana passed down some Italian/Sicilain sayings to her kids & grandkids. We know what most of them mean such as piaga, testa dura, and a bunch of others, but there are 2 sayings that we don't know their exact translation or even how to spell them. The pronunciation may have also gotten messed up a little through generations.. How we pronounce the 2 sayings is "buhta-de-sala" and "gah-ged-ad-tha." We say them when something goes wrong or we drop something or something like that. It's kind of like saying "oh my gosh!" or "dangit." I would be very appreciative if anyone knows what these exactly mean or how to spell them. I'd also be curious if anyone else says these 2 things! Thank you!

  • Is it ok for my dog to sleep in my bed?

Ok, so my boxer, (technically my parents'), likes to sleep on the bottom of my bed. When I'm away at college, she sleeps in her own bed in my parents' kitchen, but when I come home for the Summer break or a long weekend, at nighttime she waits outside the bathroom door while I get ready for bed and then walks into my room with me and just sits next to my bed until I actually get into bed. Then she jumps on my bed and sleeps at the bottom. But she only gets on the bed after I'm already in bed. If I close the door to my room so she can't get in, she will sit outside my room and whine until I finally cave and let her in. I don't mind her sleeping with me, I've actually grown to like it, but I was just wondering if letting your dog sleep on your bed is bad or if it's ok to do? I was also the one who adopted her for my mom at the pet rescue place, so I feel like she is sort of bonded to me if that makes sense. She sometimes just follows me around the house. Hopefully that's not weird.. She isn't particularly possessive of me, but she definitely likes to be near me. So, to conclude, is it ok that she sleeps with me? Thank you!

  • Noticed that cartilage piercing fell out and now the hole is gone..?

I just noticed that my cartilage piercing is missing from my ear. It must have fallen out about 4 hours ago, but when I tried to put one back in my ear, I can't really see the hole. I tried to stick it through where I thought the hole was, but it wouldn't go at all. I've hadit pierced for about 10 months. Is it normal that it would close this fast? I did develop a cist at the back of the hole a couple months ago, but that went away, however ever since then there has been a bump at the back of the hole and it just hasn't looked normal. Now the ear is kind of red near the hole. Do you think maybe in the morning the hole might be more visible if the redness goes down, or do you think I just need to get it re-pierced?

  • Is it bad to eat peanut butter with a spoon out of the jar?

I love me some peanut butter and I eat it straight with a spoon because I'd rather just skip the pretzels and spoon that PB straight. Skip the calories from the pretzels and go straight to the good stuff. Is this normal? Lol I just love it so much

  • Numbness in toe for weeks?

I've had a numbness on the bottom of my second toe for a couple weeks now. There's no mark or redness, just numbness. I'm young and healthy. Not overweight and have a healthy diet. I did go clubbing the day before I noticed the numbness and I took my heels off for only about 5 minutes in the club to give my feet a little break (I know that sounds ratchet and nasty). I was thinking maybe it could be a fungus from the club, but there was no visible signs of that on my toe. My other thought was that it could be due to poor circulation from the heels, but I wouldn't think that would last this long. Like I said, it's been a couple of weeks now and it still feels the same. I don't think it could be anything like frost bite because I live in a fairly warm climate and always wear boots when it's cold. Any thoughts on what it could be? Should I see a doctor? Or maybe a pediatrist?

  • Constant tinnitus?

So I went clubbing with some friends 3 days ago and after we left the club it was hard to hear out of my ears, which often happens for me after clubbing so I didn't think much of it. I soon noticed that my ears started ringing significantly, but figured they would both go away soon. The next morning I could hear better but the ringing had not decreased at all. It is a constant and steady high pitched ringing sound. Two of my friends also experienced this ringing, but theirs went away after a day, where as mine has not diminished much and it had been 3 days. Whenever it is quiet is the worst because I can hear it a lot. Going to sleep is torture because I just lay here and hear this constant ringing sound that makes it so hard to fall asleep. Should I go to the doctor or is there not really anything that a doctor would be able to do? The fire alarm even went off in my apartment yesterday because my roommate burnt her food and I honestly wasn't sure if it was just the ringing in my ears or the fire alarm..

  • Can I get in legal trouble for writing "(person's name) does not live here" on someone's mail that keeps being sent to me?

This person's mail keeps arriving in my mailbox at my apartment. I've put it in the "misdirected" box and also told the front desk of my complex that this person does not live in my apartment, yet their mail is still sent to my mailbox. So today I wrote in pencil on the letters "(name) does not live here." And then placed the letters in the misdirected box. However it just occurred to me, could this be considered mail tampering? I'm kind of worried now. I purposely used pencil so that it could be erased and then sent to the correct person.

  • Is it normal to have a bump near back of cartilage piercing?

So I've had my cartilage pierced for about a 9 months now with pretty much no problem. I've changed the earring in it before and not had any issues either. But last week I bought a new cartilage ring from Claire's. It's sterling silver, same as my other so I figured it was fine. I had some trouble clasping the back of it which probably caused some trauma to the hole because I was wiggling the earring so much. A few days ago I noticed a pretty significantly sized bump on the back of my ear right next to the hole. It looks kind of shiny like it might be filled with fluid or something, but it doesn't hurt. It just looks bad. I put some antibiotic cream that I had at my house on it a few minutes ago. Hopefully that will help by morning. Does anyone know if this is a normal thing to happen when trauma is caused to the hole or could this be an infection..?? Should I get a different cartilage earring..?

  • Brown, freckle-like spots on back of hands. What could it be?

So about 2 weeks ago I woke up and noticed that I had a bunch (maybe 60-80 per hand) of little brown spots on the back of both of my hands spreading from my thumb and my index finger. They aren't raised and they don't itch or hurt.. They just look really weird lol They look like freckles but I don't think that they are because I wasn't out in the sun more than usual and I've never gotten freckles anywhere else before. I'm half Sicilian so I don't have fair skin.. I also had not been using any new lotions or soaps or doing anything unusual. It might just be my imagination but it seems like some days I'll wake up and the spots have spread a little bit up my thumb and other days they aren't as many but they are still definitely present. I'm a female in my early 20's, very healthy and very confused about these weird freckle-like marks. Any ideas of what they could be??
