    e.g staying still all day /bed or doing very little activity.. if you eat 'x' amount of calories will this result in a stable weight or will i gain no matter how little i eat?

  • Help! Im recovering anorexic and just night BINGED!! Like to the point of wanting to purge..?

    I feel so guilty for binging on alot of food. Im not exaggerating.. i am anorexic purge subtype so i do usually go through periods of binge/purge. I am recovering so i havent done this as of the past week however tonight i just went mental and had a huge binge on everything from bread to pb to ice cream to chocolate etc and I'm feeling so disgusted with myself and really guilty. I really have the urge to purce right now but i know i shouldnt.. im so scared that this one huge huge binge will lead to a huge weight gain and ill get excess fat. Please help with advice. Xx

  • Guar gum vs xanthan gum taste?

    Im uzing it for ice cream and can't find guar gum at the market. I use guar gum usually and i know xantham is not as good for cold based desserts but does anyone know if theres a taste difference between the two? Also any ideas of substitute to use in ice cream to have a nice thick consistency? I sort of like the thick gumminess that guar gum makes it. Thanks

    Im attempting to recover from anorexia (with purging) and i have done a few weeks without binge/purge but tonight i absolutely went mad and binged like crazy on many thousands of calories.. i know i must gain weight however i am terrified after this night of my loss of control and feel like a huge failure. Will one bad binge night ( without purging) cause significant weight gain?

  • How to make froze yoghurt not icy..?

    I have chobani fat free yoghurt and obviously just freezing it by itself results in it becoming too frozen like an ice block, so does anyone have any tips (add ins etc) that will stop the yoghurt from solidifying too much? Is this where the higher fat yoghurt helps/ sugar etc? Thank you

    Firstly, im recovering bulimic. Id done a solid week of no binge/purge and was so proud of myslef. However today i broke up with my bf and it lead me to feeling really depressed and i ate ice cream, chocolate, 2 slices toast, 2 tbs peanut butter + jam, and more in a short period of time but i didnt purge it. I did restrict a bit during the day but i really want to know if this one off binge is going to cause weight gain and what do i do to prevent gaining weight?

  • Skim milk vs soy milk/almond milk SUGAR?

    250ml skim milk- 13g sugar

    250ml soy milk- 4g sugar

    I know skim has no fat and lots of protein in comparison to soy or dairy free milks. Would it be better to have skim milk where the sugars are lactose and naturally occurring in milk or a dairy free milk where the sugars are lower but ADDED? 13g seems high in comparison but is it better than added?     Im 21, female.

    Ive had eating disorders in the past but had started binge/night eating for the past 8 months and caused me to gain quite a bit of unwanted weight.

    I exercise like mad however, everyday , but see no results.

    These past 2 weeks I've really tried hard to get my diet right and eat healthy/regularly and not overeat (or night eat) but i still see no results.

    How long do you think it will be before my body adjusts to the new eating and i will loose weight? Thanks
