  • Miami Off-Season Game Plan?

Everybody says that the heat need to find a point guard an a center this off-season. I think they will sign Samuel Dalembert at center so that's one big hole we filled up but what about point guard? Here are my 3 ideas to solve that

    1) Re-Sign Mario Chalmers and hope for the best. It's not like he's hasnt improved over the years and he still young and useful.

    2) Trade Mike Miller for Luke Ridnour and sign a veteran swingman who will take less money to get a ring. Tayshaun Prince, Grant Hill, Shane Battier, T-Mac or Michael Redd could work.

    3) Move Lebron to the point and then sign a veteran swingman who will take less money to win a ring. Once again. Tayshaun Prince, Grant Hill, Shane Battier, T-Mac or Michael Redd could work.

Tell me which idea you like the most and tell me if any of them are realistic. You can also give me some ideas.

  • Could the Heat find a way to...?

    Bring in

A center like Samuel Dalembert since Joel Anthony is to small and is more of a back up center.

A swingman like T-Mac or Grant Hill or Tayshaun Prince if one of them went ring chasing since James Jones opted out of his contract.

And could the Heat let Lebron be Magic and run the point since he does have the speed and passing skills?

    Imagine a line up of

    PG: Lebron James

    SG: Dwayne Wade

SF: Grant Hill or T-Mac or Tayshaun Prince

    PF: Chris Bosh

    C : Samuel Dalembert

  • What PG should the Miami Heat draft?

They have pick #31 and they might as well pick a point guard since they're probably gonna fix there big men and bench problems in the summer. I don't think they're gonna resign Bibby, and they aren't gonna leave Chalmers by himself. So which one of these Point-Guards should they draft?

    Norris Cole

    Charles Jenkins

    Nolan Smith

    Darius Morris

    Shelvin Mack

    Josh Selby

    Cory Joseph

  • Is Bismack Biyombo legit?

I've heard both from some people that he'll be the next Ben Wallace and from others I've heard this Congolese kid is overrated. So is he the real deal or what? And where do you want him to land? As a Heat bandwagoner I know it EXTREMELY unlikely but it doesn't hurt to dream.

  • Miami Free-Agent Predidictions?

I know they havent lost yet but I'm planning ahead (if there isn't a lockout) so can the Heat sign any of these players and how likely would it be?

    DeAndre Jordan

    Greg Oden

    Chris Wilcox

    Kwame Brown

    Samual Dalembert

    Nene Hilario

    Tyson Chandler

    Tayshaun Prince

    Richard Hamilton

    Shannon Brown

    Aaron Brooks

    Grant Hill

    Tracy Mcgrady

And what are the chances of them getting a good point guard in the draft?

  • Am I the only one that thinks Serge Ibaka was robbed?

The guy dunked from behind the free throw line and dunked while grabbing a stuffed animal with his teeth! I'm not saying his stuff was better than Mcgee or something but they deserved more then a 45.

  • How many teams are regretting not signing Shaq and T-Mac?

In the summer therewere plenty of teams that Shaq and T-Mac wanted to go but were believed to be to old and washed up so weren't signed *cough* Miami *cough*

  • I'm probably gonna sound like a heat bandwagoner right now but...?

Who would they give the T-Wolves for the rights to Rubio. I mean the team has 3 possible starting point guards (not counting Rubio) and Miami has a team full of expiring contracts.

P.S. If Nene doesn't get traded by the deadline can the heat pick him up in free agency cheap?

  • What should Miami's next step be?

When eveyone gets off of injury (Haslem, Wade, Bosh) what will Miami's next step be. I don't there current roster is good enough to beat Boston. They might beat Orlando or Chicago but not Boston. Maybe next year but not this year. So what is there next step to put them over the top?

To me the only people on the team that Miami still needs are

    Bosh, Wade, and James

    Mike Miller

    James Jones

    Eddie House

    Mario Chalmers

    Udonis Haslem

    and maybe Joel Anthony

That leaves Juwan Howard, Big Z, Erick Dampier, and Carlos Arroyo being useless at the moment because there low production.

The Heat need a big man who can grab some board, play defense, and take some pressure off of Bosh and a point guard who can play d, make open shots and can facilitate the ball so Lebron and Wade don't have to do it 100% of the time.

Contestants to fill the big men void:

Javale McGee: Young, Athletic, Cheap, and would be fun to see catch alley-oop lobs from Wade or Lebron

Marcus Camby: Veteran Defensive Star who deserves a ring and could get it in South Beach

Samuel Dalembert: He's not getting the minutes he wants in Sacramento and he could help the Heat defensively against D Howard an the Celtic big men.

Greg Oden: If the heat doctors could revive Alonzo Mourning and Dwayne Wade who says they can't bring Oden and if they found a way to get him cheap it would either be an epic fail or the luckiest thing ever.

    Contestants for point guards.

Ricky Rubio: Okay theres no knowing if this guy is ever coming to the NBA or if this guys NBA career will even be successful but it does look like this guy is legit. This guy is a better passer then Lil Wayne is a rapper.

Chauncey Billups: He is the player who fits this role for Miami the most. Good Play maker and can kill when he's hot from beyond the the 3 point line and can play D but he's a tad bid expensive.

Or they could just get help from the Draft?

  • Is it to early to say that Mike Miller is back?

When Bosh and Wade were down tonight he had a double-double with 32 points and 10 boards. Do you think that he can put the Heat back on top once everybody gets back from injury? And maybe if Pat Riley could grab a couple of guys supposedly a big man and a veteran guard.

But anyway a lineup looking like:

    Guard: Dwayne Wade

    Guard: Mike Miller

    Forward: Lebron James

    Forward: Chris Bosh

Center: Erick Dampier/Udonis Haslem/Some Veteran that Pat Riley brings in

  • Why aren't the heat using there 2 rookies?

If you guys don't know, in the 2010 draft the heat drafted 2 players who might be able to help in the future. Da'Sean Butler and Dexter Pittman.

Da'Sean Butler is a WVU 6'7 small forward who can play guard. This guy has flat out skill and could be an energy type of guy who can come in for Wade when James and James need a break or someone to give garbage minutes. He woul've been a first round or a possible lottery pick if he didn't tear his ACL in March Madness. Miami got a great player at a cheap price. Did I mention he has clutch?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHBeilhy1BI

And then there is the guy who might be able to help Miami's biggest problem... Dexter Pittman. This guy is a dominate big man who works harder than anyone. This guy dropped like 100 pounds during training camp. This guy is a 6-10 monster who can get boards and and do some scary things down low.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCZryTYGp6E

So why don't the Heat use any of them?

    5 AnswersBasketball1 decade ago
  • Will the Heat ever...?

Bring Da'Sean Butler back? If it weren't for that injury he would've been a 1st round pick. And he was expected to be back a couple months ago.

  • Should the heat trade...?

James Jones and/or Eddie? Before anyone yells at me for tryna mess uo the heat chemistry just here me out.

Eddie House's minutes seem to have dropped hugely ever since the winning streak began. It's not that he bad or anything it's just that he is only needed for three point shooting which has been given to you by Almost everyone on the team including Bosh and Big Z. Do they really still need him? Coach Spo isn't giving him minutes anyway.

Okay James Jones is a great player and all but with Mike Miller coming back either tomorrow or Wednsday, do they really need another 3 point shooter who plays the same position as Miller and is the same size and weight and plays the same style? But the Heat would never trade MIller so that leaves them with trading Miller.

If the Heat used they're trade exception from Haslem, add someone like Juwan Howard or Jamal Magloire, and trade House and/or Jones, they could get a big man who can actually get some rebounds or a veteran point guard who knows 1 or 2 things about defense.

  • Do you think the Hornets will bring a team back to Seattle?

Yeah I'm from the Land of Coffee and when the Sonics left us it was plain sad. We're a basketball city over here man. We've been going to Sonic games when they were good and bad. Clay Bennett screwed us over and know were here watching the Mariners do terrible and the Seahawks do an average job, even though we have the loudest stadium in the NFL. Now the CEO of Microsoft looks interested in buying us a team and a stadium here in the 206.
