I usually post this stuff in my expat group but I'm boycotting fb completely now so I'll try this. For any fellow expats or ex-expats.... Do the ceiling mounted whisken air conditioners in S Class apartment buildings bring in polluted air from the outdoor rooms where they're connected?  If you haven't lived in Korea or don't know what an S Class apartment is, please do not reply. Real answers only. 

I have been wanting a German Shepherd for years but I just met a man who's grandfather bred them for many years but stopped because both they and Dobermans suffer from a genetic brain swelling / inflammation which progresses with age (the brain never stops growing) and by old age can cause them to forget their owners and be extremely aggressive, which is yet another reason they have such a shelf life with police units. He said this is why he stopped breeding German Shepherds and that this heated topic is all over the internet and to google it and try Akitas instead, but it just doesn't seem right to me. I've googled for hours and I find things about a similar condition caused by a parasite, not a genetic problem where the brain never stops growing. Please, breeders, help me out here. I don't want to believe this and love the breed but knowing this, I don't think I can trust the breed, it would be like owning/loving a ticking time bomb. So is this true, because his grandfather bred them for decades, or is this completely unfounded. I find it hard to believe his grandfather would stop breeding after decades for this reason if there wasn't any truth behind it and he seemed adamant so I don't want to just brush this off. I'd love some breeders' input on this. Thank you!

I have iPhone 4 (waiting for the battery fix in 4s first) on 5.0.1 (LOTS OF BUGS - only thing it added! And I tried iExplorer and followed the instructions, making my icons on an app icon project and saving them to album then deleting original icon files in directory and replacing them with case sensitive new icon to match. When I click the new icon PNG file its MY icon but on the phone, after several reboots, it's still standard. Not only that I want to change ALL the buttons, including phone and email and safari. I'm not looking for a jailbreak - I did that to my phone before and over time had A LOT of issues. So anything that does not require a JB would be amazing. Thanks!!!

I see someone asked this two years ago but the answer was the only one, chosen by default, had all thumbs down, and the links were crap. I see people on YouTube playing "May It Be" and other great songs and I just can't get the music for myself. I try googling/printing sheet music for these songs but When I play them (I can read the music and I'm doing the corresponding notes on the Ocarina) it just comes out as jibberish or doesn't quite sound the right pitch for my TNG Ocarina. I actually watch someone's instructions on "Hedwig's Theme" on YouTube and painstakingly play/paused every note and copied them down. It is incredibly easy to play and sounds great but if I print out a score and try to play that, it's crazy. I was able to find one version of Amazing Grace I tweeked to half decent. Where are the people on YouTube getting the music from? I see so many people playing "May It Be" but the score ranges in low A#s and B#s that sound so low and indiscernible from each other it's a low pitch mess. Nothing like the melodic sweetness of what I hear others play online. Is there a site devoted to sheet music of these songs in a pitch harmonic for an Ocarina? Or could some YouTube professionals please share some secrets. I'm really serious about mastering this instrument but am getting nothing but frustrated.

The xBox is fine and I can still access the dashboard - just the game freezes at the screen explaining Fade Shapeshifting after you talk to the mouse. Every time. I saw some people's posts from 8 months ago and it seems they never got a fix from Bioware and it's not the disks because people have actually replaced their disks and had the same issue, and it's across the board from PC to PS3 to xBox users. How can I get past this and continue my game?

I got hooked on a show and it premiers tonight and I'm dying to see it! I wish a friend would just help me out here so I can watch it...anyway, I try to sign up and it keeps asking me for cable information. I just want to watch my show :_(

I am an expert in turtles and a little with certain breeds of tortoise so, being the one that usually answers these kinds of questions on here, I feel a bit out of place. I have had my sulfate tortoise for a few years now and, for convenience, he has lived quite happily and heathily off of the most expensive RepCal tortoise pellet diet I could find. But as he is now quite large, I am moving him to an outdoor pen, because quite frankly, my room is simply too small for him now. (It's sad my room is too small for him yet I live in it >.< lol!) Since if anyone knows anything about tortoises Egytians were out of the question because I'm not willing to shell out (no pun intended) $1,000 for the world's smallest and rarest tortoise. So I took the less painful route and put out a little over $200 for the next best thing - a Russian. He'll be overnighted tonight and I have everything ready because of all my supplies from my other chelonians except for the diet. I did some digging and apparently Russians are grazers (like my Sulcata) and no sites mention being able to use the same pellet food or not. Only pages and pages about romaine. So I was hoping, as in the case of my Sulcata, that RepCal would work as well as I think my Acme Supercard expired. XD So please let me know what the easiest diet would be if not pellet. But if at all possible I would like to rely on pellet as I do with my Sulcata.

I am a Yu-Gi-Oh! Pro wanting to grow up to Magic the Gathering. I have a Blades of Victory Core in my hands and wanted to know - not even knowing the rules - where do I start with my first deck. What core would suite me best?! In YUGO, my zombie/vampire beatdown dark deck was unstoppable - how do I translate that into MTG? Help!! I have no idea. I just want to get started with an affordable deck to get me into the game and don't know what to buy. How good is Blades of Victory? What about the Vampire Core set I heard about??? Help!!!

Use to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournaments (Regionalist) and now I want to grow up and switch to the more adult MTG. At B&Ns with the 2011 Core set Blades of Victoryin my hands and I heard that there are other '11 Core sets out there too. This is the last one here and I want to buy it but I'm not sure it's the best or not. I do best with Dark decks: Vampire/Zombie Beat down decks won me quite a few tournaments with little effort. Just starting out, and not even knowing yet the rules to the more complicated and amazing MTG, what should I know and what's my best bet for my very first deck?

Hi, my husband and I love to read. We were using our iPhones but the iPhone screen is too small for his eyes to read, so for Christmas I bought him a Sony Reader 300 pocket edition reader. I have a vast iBooks library and he's bought a few books from the Reader Store, we've always shared our ebook library, but we cant both read them because my ibooks went on his reader but more importantly, his new Reader Store purchases wont go on my iPhone. I can't afford to buy two copies of every book and he's giving me the "I told you so, we should have stuck with the good old fashion paper versions speech." I tried researching how to remove the DMR from his books so we can both use them but I was spun in circles to a program that my firefox/Norton automatically deletes after downloading because it thinks it could be a threat, to one that simply stops responding as soon as I launch it, and other sites talk about snake scripts and confuse the heck out of me. I am so frustrated. I do not want to find torrents for our books from now on so we can share them - I want to buy them from the Reader Store legally - but I need to remove this DMR stuff so I can actually use what we buy. I just need a program to take the DMR off so we can read our books. PLEASE HELP!

I'm looking for good keyboard themes for winterboard on SUMMERBOARD mode for iPhone 3GS. I want the Mac book air one really bad and have it installed but it doesn't work. Can someone help me with this or suggest some other really great keyboards for iPhone 3GS using Cydia and Winterboard on Summerboard mode?? Thanks.

I have it all installed on my 3Gs and the weather works fine - but it's NY weather not GLASSBORO, NJ 08028. I hit the tab to override it and put in my yahoo weather code USNJ0175 and hit refresh so many times but it always says NY. I love this feature - please help!

I was fishing at wildwood today on these rocks coming out of the ocean and was swarmed by these fascinating creatures that ranged from a few mm to an inch long. They looked like long extinct trilobites or large, round silverfish except they were oval, almost flat, had countless legs, two large eyes, two long antenae and were black with little hints of yellow flecks along the sides of their armored/hinged shells. They were fascinating and I KNEW I should have taken a picture but for ONCE, left my iPhone in my tacklebox out of reach. I don't know what they are and it's driving me nuts. I'd love to know. Please help me identify these mysterious little guys!

Hi, I've been a boxie parent all of my life, rescuing them from the middle of highways and rehabilitating classic three-leggers and devoting my entire life to these beautiful and disappearing gems. I love my mating pair of Eastern Box Turtles, devoting most of my yard to create a enormous pen for them with every environment and enrichment item a boxie could want. (They are captive bred - please no free willy lectures!! They are a captive bred mating pair with licenses and paperwork, please save your retoric as it is usually I spewing it to people wanting to irresponsibly keep these delicate beauties as pets, I've risked my life at times for this species!)

This being said, my pair: Sunny and Solera gave birth to a litter without my knowledge early this spring. I found one egg that was weather beaten a week after a rainstorm washed it out of a burrow and since I'd not noticed any hatchlings when cleaning or feeding the habitat I assumed an overpopulation of nasty shrews had gotten to them.

Three days ago I was driving to work and saw a young turtle about to be creamed on the road just a few yards down the road from my backyard. I brought it home. There are no wild boxies anywhere near where I live and if I put him back on the side of the road I knew he'd be dead in my busy suburbs by days end. Because there are no boxies where I live I automatically remembered the egg I had found a few months prior and immediately thought it was probably Solera's. The baby is approximately 3" long which is large to me to be born this year but his inability to close his shell at all reassures me he's well under a year old. If born in May/June, could a hatchling from that clutch have reached 3" already? My fiancé doesn't think so but I'm not sure since there are no wild boxies to even produce this lone orphan for 25 miles in every direction. In fact, besides my rescues and pair, I've never even seen a boxie anywhere near my city. Can anyone help me figure out if this COULD be from my litter or not? Kind advice on aging only please.

I'm honestly surprised with all the hacks and mods I had for Sims 1 & 2 and all the time that 3 has been out there aren't tons of "hacked object" sites like there use to be, in fact, there aren't as many sims sites as there use to be ??? hm.... anyway. I need a hacked object or a mod that will max my skills. I know of a mod: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=344997 that I downloaded but I unzipped it and put it in downloads and it doesn't do anything. It's supposedly a package file but trying to open it, my computer wont recognize the file type or open with a program. I've never tried modding my sims because everyone knows the series freezes/crashes/and corrupts on it's own fine enough. If someone could help me with how to install this mod or a hacked object or site, I'd really appreciated it. THANKS!!! I do not have the time to max all my household's skills manually. Even on 3 speed it takes sim years and literal real life days. Thanks again, a simmer for life!!!

I bought an alarm clock app and I want to replace my real alarm clock with this alarm clock app because it shows the weather and news feeds too. But I am well aware of overcharging batteries as I ruined my Alienware MX17 laptop battery and countless other gadgets due to overcharging or just leaving things plugged in. But I really like this clock app and dock idea and why would they make the app unless you could do it like that? I know...to waste people's money. Anyway, is there any hope this that I can make this work without screwing up my iPhone battery life?

I have the file on my desktop iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore but it's a little white lego brick icon I've never seen before and I read on one of the developer websites that if you don't have a Mac you cant access it. Is this why when I double click it, it opens iTunes and nothing happens? Someone help me out here, I have no clue. <3 iPhones forever <3

Read carefully: I'm not looking to illegally catch a pet!!! I am doing a research project on the declining rate of our native box turtles due to over development and land waste. Does anyone know any locations where there are a lot of box turtles, hopefully babies so I can get some footage of them in their native habitat? Please help.
