How to restore the login pages for an XP that has been cleaned out from AntiVirus XP 2008 VIRUS?
My machine recently got cleaned out from an infection of the FAKE AntiVirus XP 2008 VIRUS, but the login screen for 3 users has disappeared. Accoring to the top several anti-spyware and antiVirus scans, the machine is now clean, but the login screen has disappeared, it just comes up on her user's account who got the infection.
sfc /scannow finds the machine clean. Still no login screen, and No restore points from before the infection.

I mistakenly got hit with the AntiVirus XP 2008 spyware/virus, and now the PC boots to the hijacked desktop and does not allow anything to run, not even Task Manager using Ctl-Alt-Del. How do I get rid of the hijacked desktop? There are no other users on this machine. Safe Mode also locks up. Thx!
