  • How to get rid of rash?

Every spring for the past five or so years I get this really bad rash on my ankle, and now hand, and no matter what I do it stays until winter. I think it comes from allergies.

The rash is a bunch of little bumps that itch and get red, and eventually turn into a big scaley dry spot.

I've tried Benedryl, hydrocortisone, moisturizers, neosporin, coconut oil, etc.

Nothing makes the dryness go away, and nothing makes the bumps go down. Certain skin medications make my skin more dry, but the redness goes down.

I haven't seen a doctor yet because of financial reasons.

I'm a sixteen year old girl if that matters.

  • How do I find out my weighted and unweighted gpa's?

Is there a calculator or something? And if I'm halfway through junior year should I include that?

Also, a scholarship asked for my gpa and my schools highest gpa, would this be weighted or unweighted?

    Thanks

  • How often do your parents swear at you?

I'm sixteen, and probably over the past four years at least one of my parents called me a ***** or an asshole everyday. Now I just try to be alone but my mom yells at me and calls me names more often; I've tried talking normally in response, yelling back, or just going in my room but everything just makes her more angry. She has bipolar disorder, so I try not to think about it, but it's really screwing with my head recently, but I can't talk to anyone in my family--they're all pretty abrasive, and I don't want to tell my friends because whenever I get close to someone I feel like they start to not like me.

  • How would I say this is Spanish.?

I'm writing about an activity I did earlier, and I'm trying to say "it was boring after a while and I got sunburned"

    Is this right:

Lo estaba aburrido después del rato y me quemé del sol.

  • Are the UK and Great Britain different countries?

On nationsonline.org the UK and Great Britain are listed as different countries. How is that possible?

  • Is england considered a country?

on nationsonline.org England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are not listed as countries. Great Britain, however, is listed.

I thought they were all independent countries, but are they actually all just dependent areas under Great Britain's government?

  • About ap chem?

My school offers ap chem and the community college near my house offers courses over the summer that high school students could take. If I took Chem at the college would it be the same as taking ap Chem during the school year

  • How do I take spanish?

I'm not taking spanish next year in highschool because the teachers at my school are awful and the actual course is just memorizing vocab words and taking quizes, which I've found to be a waste of time due to the fact that I've been doing the same stuff for four years (I'm starting 11th grade)

However, I still want to learn Spanish as I'm interested in the language. The colleges near me (SUNY Buffalo Stare and Erie community college) offer summer courses that highschoolers could take, but none of them have Spanish 101

(Techincally buff state had one but its too late to register and conflicted with my regents exams anyways). One college even had non-degree courses in Januaray, but still, no Spanish!

    What should I do?

  • Do drug dogs smell birth control?

I take birth control for hormones and I'm going on a trip. They're going through the bags before we leave (it's a school trip) would the dogs smell them if they're in the bag, because I don't want my teachers to find them-- I know they've "seen everything" but it's a band trip and my conductor is like my grandpa, it would make me uncomfortable with him knowing and it would be an uncomfortable conversation.

Should I just bring them in a pocket when we're leaving? I don't know if there would be dogs there then. I'd put them in a ziplock bag in my pocket.

P.s. There's a lot of kids that smoke weed in my band, so would weed dogs not smell normal prescriptions?

  • Help with stomach pains?

I a couple months ago I got sick with diarrhea and stomach pains. A few weeks later I had the same thing, so bad I puked. Now I'm not using the bathroom regularly and every week or so I'm kept up all night with horrible gas pains that don't pass until I can use the bathroom.

I don't know what it is; I eat super healthy--no junk, no processed foods, limited grains, all while grain, main dairy source is yogurt, tons of vegetables, plenty of fiber-- and haven't changed my overall diet in over a year! These past couple of months I've been trying to find out what's causing it and the only things I've been eating regularly the whole time this is going on are nuts greek yogurt.

I'm a fifteen year old girl and it's hard to keep going to school on three hours of sleep. I've never had any problems my whole life with food or allergies. How do I fix this?

    Can someone help me?

  • How do other countries react to nuclear disasters?

I'm writing amendments for model UN on the Fukushima nuclear spill and I was wondering what other countries usually do when a disaster happens (the resolution seems pretty Japan centered).

Do they get involved in the clean up no questions asked, or only if it effects them? Or when something like this happens is it usually the country responsible for it that has to do all the work.

Also, if you have any advice for other amendments if you're familiar with model UN that would be much appreciated.

  • Why do I feel fat?

I've been eating under maitnence calories for a while to lose weight and I was feeling nice and "tight" but now I'm eating normal (all healthy clean food) but I feel so pudgy. My neck and stomach don't seem as toned, but it's only been a couple weeks and I'm exercising a lot-- I do weights and cardio 3-4 times a week.

Will the fat feeling go away, or do I have to eat less.

I'm 5 feet tall, female, and eating 1600-2000 calories a day (depending on how hungry I am)

  • Should I go to the gym?

I was up all night with diarrhea (i know, tmi) and I still have it but mild now. I stayed home from school and got plenty of rest today. I feel I could do my normal workout-- just not as intense. Should I go or should I skip so I don't get anyone else sick? Also, would going keep me from getting better as fast? Thanks!

  • Help I'm not ready for my audition!!!?

I have my a county solo tomorrow and I'm screwed! I can hardly go half the speed of the second movement, and today when I was playing it with my band director I couldn't even play the first three measures without messing up. I gave it a couple hours and after I got home from school I tried practicing again and I can't play anything more than three measures without running out of breath, I keep screwing up the fingering, and when I look at the page it's like I can't even process which notes are which!! What do I do, I can't not practice because there are still parts I can't play, let alone play fast, but I keep getting worse and worse the more I try!!! I've practiced this so much and I don't know why this is happening; I thought I was going to do well on this audition but now I'm going to embarrass myself and I don't know what to do.

    Help!

P.s. I play bass clarinet, and I'm playing Ballade by Eugene Bozza. I don't have a private teacher so I've been trying to learn pretty much all of it alone, I've played it for my band director for about 40 min but didn't accomplish much, and he plays french horn so it's not really like an actual lesson.

  • How many calories is this?

    214 g of carbs

    100 g of protein

    48 g of fat (6 sat. 0 trans)

Is this healthy for a five foot, 100 lb, fifteen year old girl? I didn't really exercise today (rest day) but between the past two days I did 1 hr 45 min of cardio and about 45 min of strength training and stretching.

  • Guitar lessons?

I'm 15 and I have a guitar; I taught myself a few chords and stuff, but I want to start getting lessons.

I found a place that gives normal lessons and Suzuki lessons (the kind without music) and I'm not sure which one I should start with. I really like the finger picking styles, and am interested in classical, jazz, and Spanish guitar. My friends that take lessons go in and they just get tabs for songs they like, but I think I'd like something more formal so I could maybe do things for school by senior year--they use sheet music.

What do you suggest I do for lessons?

P.s. I already play the bass clarinet/clarinet and have been for six years, so I know how to read treble clef.

  • Is this too much for breakfast?

    A whole wheat sandwich thin

    Half an avocado

    A Roma tomato

    1/4 cup shredded fat-free mozzarella

And two eggs cooked in nonstick pan

I season this with basil, salt, and pepper

I make them into two open faced toast things and eat like that.

  • Grains make me constipated?

Foods that are supposed to make you poop make me bound up!

Whenever I eat quinoa or flax I can't poop that much for days!

If I have oatmeal two days in a row it slows things, but not that as much as flax.

Also, when I eat more that one cup of raw veggies I get bloated and can't poop!

Why does this happen? I've always eaten at a pretty high fiber level (over 30 g a day) but this stuff screws me up!

Things like potatoes and steamed broccoli don't do anything, but when I eat these certain foods it slows everything down and I get super bloated and gassy.
