How soon can you re-apply Frontline to a larger dog?
I inherited my mothers 9 year old Chow-Chow as she lived with me when my mom died 3 weeks ago.
Never been much of a dog person, but Mitzi (the pooch) is an okay dog, fairly laid back and is pretty good at not being a nuisance.
Earlier this week, I washed her (mostly) with some stuff I got from Pet Smart made for dogs with sensitive skin as she was scratching up a storm. I knew it was still probably fleas as I saw one on her, so I waited the 2 days after bathing her as the label directed to then put the Frontline on her.
She was fine for a week, but now she's back to scratching on her legs and around behind her head where she did before. I think I saw a flea, but with her dark close coat, I couldn't be sure.
If it possible to be re-infested so soon after treatment? She only goes outside to do her business, then comes back inside cause of the heat. And I have hardwood floors all throughout the house which I clean every day.
If she has picked up a few, is it too soon to re-treat her with Frontline? Or should I try something else?
At her age I don't want to over medicate her.
