I don't really believe in any astrology or numerology but curious to know what people think.

Is this coincidence or what?? My brothers birthday is may 9. step father's birthday may 9. wife's birthday June 9. father died on June 9. My sister in law's birthday is January 9. Sister died on 9. Brothers 9 years older than me. And just for fun I looked up my possible dates of my conception and it gave me June 1-11. what are the odds. What do you think?

You know that sound that cellists and violinists get? It's a warm, deep, rich sound. That's what I'm trying to achieve on my nylon string. But I can't seem to get it. I end up with a tin can sound.

I have struggled in achieving this sound for a long time now.

I was recently gifted a piezzo pickup for my guitar. You stick it on the body with a sticky tack and it picks up the vibrations. The other end has a quarter inch cable so I could plug it into an amp. This is a pretty hight end version doo that's no issue abd I've also tried lower end ones too. However, I can never get that in-your-ear-sound. You know, that quality of sound that is so sensitive you could hear the creeks in the wood on the instrument. That sound when you listen to music with awesome headphones. So much detail and air to it. My experience is that when I apply pressure to the pick up the quality improves (gets deeper) but I get lots of feedback too. Lots.

I know that cellist and violinists use these pickups and place them between the body and the bridge so when the strings are tuned and pressure is applied to the bridge the transducer Mic (pick up) can pick up the vibrations.

What can I do? I feel like I need to know the sciences behind this so I can fashion some sort of rig to accomplish what I want because these pick ups aren't working and I don't want to Mic my guitar when playing because it gets in the way of my playing.

Also I'm playing this in a 3 piece band (bass, and drums. )

Some things to consider before answering:

-Currently I have a tascam four track recorder which is decent but doesn t have that oompf that studio quality can get. Strangely,I get a fuller sound with my Samsung galaxy (before I dropped it). Was even considering publishing the songs straight from my phone.

-I have a Spanish nylon string guitar.

-I have one of those small cheap magnetic pickups that you tape onto an acoustic instrument to be able to plug it in via 1/4 inch (typically used by violinists, cellists or similar instruments) but it s flaky and I have to hold it really hard to the body of the guitar to get a nice rich, thick warm sound. Otherwise it s flat and tinny.

-I m using garage band.

-The ONLY Mics I have are an sm58, a 57, my phone, and the two stereo built in mics in the tascam. Up to this point I ve only used the tascam and my phone because I don t have the ideal set up to use the other mics . I m also curious to know if I can get decent quality like this or if it s absolutely necessary to purchase a Mic.)

I tend to get a pretty nice sound while recording but when ever I bounc the song (from garage band or from tascam to GB) it weakens it. The volume is significantly lowered and lacks that punch that most recordings have. I m thinking this is a mastering issue. Maybe something to do with limiting and compression?

I know very little about recording. Would appreciate any help I can get.

Long story short, I watched a video that got me intrigued. I then watched a video that basically showed me how to astral project. I've always been intrigued by this but I have never been successful. I've tried it before but I don't think I really knew what meditation was back then. So, this time around, I laid on my back and meditated. Focused on my breathing while not really thinking of anything. I felt my body buzz a f bit and I knew that wasn't something I've felt before. It was less than a second that it buzzed. I probably laid down for about half an hour (it felt longer). I had to get up and use the bathroom at some point...or....i dont quite remember what I did when I got up but regardless, I came back and said to my self "I'm kind of tired. I think I'll nap for a bit" so I laid down on my right side, not intending on accomplishing anything. I remember having my eyes closed while thinking" ehh...i don't think i'm that sleepy" then my entire body buzzed for what seemed like ten seconds, maybe 5, and that was it. I was in such an opportune position to push off the bed and so I did. I remember being out and walking to my room's door. All of the sudden I'm home. About 275 miles away. I'm in my mother bedroom and I walk out in the hallway. I reach the closet with the A/C unit in it see my reflection on the wooden door, but that's odd because it's....wooden. Also, I saw three of my faces and they were all making different expressions which didn't feel like any that I was actually making. Then I'm outside. It's night time. There's a naked woman sitting in a chair. I touch her and...it feels like skin only the sensation goes away almost instantly. In other words, I think I felt skin because I know what its supposed to feel like but it wasn't really...there? Anyway, I'm interacting with this woman character and a tall, lanky, black man with dreads walks up to me and asks for something. He was carrying an oval shaped plate, much like the kind you use to serve a chicken or turkey on . One of those plastic fancy ones. Cheap yet looks nice, and in the other hand he held 2 sporks. Anyway, he asks for something much like a homeless man would and, for some reason got a bit annoyed and stood up to approach him but then realized that this was a bad idea and quickly backed up but before i backed up TOO far I also realized that that could be MY opportunity to do something to him. So I reached out and, i guess, knocked the plate out of his hand, picked it up, made the bad decision to throw it at him. He picked it up and all of the sudden he had a massive shield, still holding the sporks in the other hand. I became nervous and woke up.

Now, I do believe that this was a genuine OBE. However, I would like to hear what other people think as I've never experienced anything like this before.

So ive been playing for 13 years or so now but im curious to hear what you guys think. havent played in while but i did some open mic stuff and realized that its really annoying when im trying to do the slap guitar thing with a fricken mic in the way of the sound whole of my acoustic. So im thinking ill use my electric but then i dnt get to slap on the body . so i guess i need an acoustic that feels like an electric. Id prefer the low tension feel of an electric but the ability to make all the sounds of an acoustic. Anything come to mind? Thanks.

My girlfriend went to a hair salon and loved the woman who cut her hair. She was very pleased with the service. She called back today to schedule an appointment with the same woman only to find out that she "had left due to medical reasons". Concerned for her health she ask for specifics and the woman said something along the lines of 'no. Just medical reasons'. Weird if you ask me. Then she asked for her number to contact her (yes, thats how much she fell in love with her service) and the woman said she doesnt know it. Mind you, she didn't say that she couldn't give it out, she said that she didn't know it. Then my girlfriend asked for her last name so she could look her up. The woman said that they didn't know it. OK. That just makes me wonder....why would the employee not know the persons last name?! Any way, it seemed that she was trying to keep information from my girlfriend about the former employee cuz she may have started another business or something of that nature? Here's my question: Does anyone know how I can find this person. Her first name is Susie. That's all I know. Isn't there some kind of website that gives you information on a business? I want to know if there is a way to make/hack a recordable greeting card to record more than a few seconds. I want to record two pages of text at most. How would I do this? You would be helping me greatly. Thanks.

Just now i was drawing facing my window and i see my mom get home. She looks up at the sky and i hear a loud rumble. I knew what this was because i had heard it before. I ran outside to see it as fast as i could but it was too fast and i missed it. Last time i heard this noise it was a helicopter flying extremely low over my house. It must've been military becasue it was really loud and big. This time my mother saw it and she said that it was a charcoal blue military plane. Does anyone know anything about this?! Im extremely curious.

Using fixative crushes your values in your drawing forcing you to go back in and pull them out again which is to no avail because the spray flattens it once again. Whats an alternative to using the spray? Is there one?

I had this strange dream just now and I'm very curious to see if there's any meaning behind it at all. I don't remember a lot of it so for those parts I'll put [...].

[...]I was in the passenger side of a white car. My brother was in the back seat with someone else, don't know who, and driving was a black man. I guess a friend. The strange thing though was that i wasn't in my body. I was using a similar body to that of the driver. In reality I'm not black. I remember some what agreeing to do this before getting in the car and thats a part of the dream i don't remember. However, i do remember picking my self up as the black man and setting my body down on a bed so it wouldn't be harmed. And this was normal for people to do, have these "out of body experiences" or w/e. Anyway, were in the car and someone says "hey lets go to [...]" and everyone agreed. Then i thought to myself "Oh wait, i should get my body first. I don't wanna stay in someone else's body anymore" which i thought was funny because I felt bad saying that for it sounded a bit racist on my part, but no one got offended and agreed to take me back to my body. We drive through a parking lot where we pass a car that, now that i think of it, kinda looks like the one we're in. In the dream, there's was something that bothered me about this car. It had tinted windows so i couldn't see much. Then we arrive at the house where my body is. I get out of the car, still in the black mans body, and approach the stairs to the door. There's a fairly attractive girl in a towel talking to some one that i just cant picture now so i just walk by them into the house. I noticed there were elders inside just watching tv or talking. I thought maybe that was a party or something. (Similar to when you were younger and your parents are partying while you and the other kids go out and do stuff. That went through my head for a reason.) I go into the room where my body is on the bed but my friend danny was standing in the room right above me. It had occured to me that the whooollleeee time my friend was having his "out of body experience", if that what it was, his body was standing. So when i tapped him, or spoke, he awoke and i said "danny!? What the hell? Youve been standing this whooollleee time?!" and replied with "I know man. Pfff.", brushed some hair away from his face and walked towards the entrance of the house. Im assuming at this point i had followed him to talk or something [...]. I return to the room for my body to find that some girl was on top of me trying to have sex with me!? She was half naked, trying to insert my penis into herself. I was thinking "is this even possible!? Can i even get erect if im not in my body?!". Apparently you could. But it wasn't enough to have sex so she started giving me oral sex. (Keep in mind, this whole time im watching myself from inside the black mans body.) Then i ejaculated into her mouth and thats all i remember. HAHAHA i just realized how funny i ended that. But seriously, does this mean anything? I dont really believe in my dreams telling me things but im curious. Help me out please. Thanks!
